I love the summer, Autumn (the fall) is still my favorite time of year something about the smell of the air. Anyways we still have some snow hanging on here but spring is here.

The trees have just come out and spring flowers are to be seen. Also I now live in Sweden and the summer is not that humid gasping for air crap the UK gets when the sun does come out. :p

Bring back winter. Bring back the snow, the sleet, the rain.

I long for days where I can't go outside without two coats on at least.

Summer sucks.

What about those of us more acclimatised to a more Northern climate and quite happily walk around in shorts+tshirt in the UK's winter?

Summer really sucks!

Roll on the Ice Age :D

Agreed. My bees like summer .. and honey is good. Ergo, bring it on?

Damn... I knew there was a reason for Summer! Perhaps my favourite drink - MEAD :D

As I was born on July 1st I strongly disagree with the OP - the hotter it gets, the better I feel.

Winter sucks.

I was actually born on June 21st of all days. Yes, the Solstice.

It's 102F / 39C here right now.

You guys would melt. :D

Reminds me of when I lived in Mobile - summer days were almost almost 99F with what felt like 99% humidity.

Up here in the Berks we'll see those temps in late July for a couple of weeks - and I'll be very happy to have my AC!

Yeah, not fan of a summer, either. Anything above 20 degrees makes me slightly uncomfortable. Anything about 30 makes me angry.
Plus insects. I hate mosquitoes with the entirety of my heart.

Ahhhh I love the heat, that s why I moved to the tropics .... summer all year, wonderful!!!

Ban the OP! There are still parking lots with snow mountains left over from winter.
Come to Canada, we cram summer into 3-4 weeks of hot weather, then go back to parkas.
If I could, I'd get the hell outta here, unfortunately, I'm not a dual citizen of some beautiful Caribbean island.

Bees, that sounds cool.

Yeah, they're ace fun and surprisingly exciting; enough venom in a summer hive to kill 400 of your average men.
So "if you see me running .. try to keep up."

I've not tried mead.

A Game of Thrones possibly has a lot to answer for? Not especially difficult or expensive to get hold of, The Knight Shop even sells horns and goblets to go with, so you can wassail the Solstice dawn in style, https://www.theknightshop.com/mead?dir=desc&order=price&p=2

In olde days of medieval yore like, any marrying couple was given enough mead to last one moon. Believed to promote fertility and give luck, from that ritual comes the term honeymoon. Celtic mythology tells of a river of mead running through paradise but it's generally seen as being quite easy to brew, unpasteurised honey has natural yeasts in it.

I'm not looking forward to summer myself. I live in Fla and I work on roller coasters. It's already face melting outside and its only May. Lucky we get everything done early morning so I don't have to be outside in the sun in the middle of the day....unless something breaks down. But of course our shop isn't air conditioned so we have lots of industrial fans going. I don't know how anybody comes to the theme park in the summer.

One positive is my pool finally got to 80 degrees. So that's something to look forward to. Really the only thing I guess.

We had Mead at our wedding for the toasting. Also had a secret stash under the table just for me :)
