I know you shouldn't judge a movie on a trailer. I literally am put off by this first impression.

Yep. Can't say it looks great. That hybridisation thing is over done*. There's some suggestion the kid is playing with pred tech. Don't know if it's true but if you got to rely on such sad plotting to get your movie going you should scrap the movie.

*It's going to be funny if one day we get into space and discover that our genes are like the equivalent of junk bonds.

Thing that gets me is this seems to hark back to AVP Requiem, when I thought everyone had worked out Predators (Adrian Brody) was the first and only sequel worthy to the original. This looks made for TV to me, go directly to video.

I think it's a mistake not to go full on sci-fi with Predator, basing instead in 2018 town; instead, army notices special forces being abducted, mobilises space defence, infiltrates Predator homeworld!? (Any movie where the human is not the predator - which was definitely the case in Predators and arguably in the original - is missing a trick imo) If it bleeds, we CAN kill it.

That parcel was meant for predator high command, but as usual, the Yodel driver couldn't find the cloaked ship, so left the parcel "somewhere safe", which was with a random child.

The movie looks a bit meh ...

I quite enjoyed the AvP movies though.

They need to re-remake the AvP game, and not mess it up again, and leave it broken so long that it dies, then fix it.

Me too, I was thinking they could at least have used Carl Weathers (he was in "Colony" 1st season) in a cameo as the old interrogator in this trailer, then I remembered "Dillon" was lift-skewered and probably spine filleted in the original...

Well it's a PREDATOR movie a brand new one, and my hopes are aways high for these... even though the ones i saw was pretty horrible... Nothing can match the prime joy of Arnie's first pred encounter!
Well let's hope this teaser is not showing the best!

There's plenty of untold stories, no one's adapted Snow Crash yet. The problem is today's faint hearted business men can't do anything without "Brand Recognition" holding their willies.

Well lets be honest here. Predator was a movie about a group of soldiers getting pwned in the jungle by an alien.
Nothing more nothing less. The reason we think it was *AMAZING* is because we were 10 at the time.

This looks like a nice brainless action movie about an alien murdering soldiers. Bit like the first one really
