People are starting to stretch in their defence of the flaws

And Frontier have just announced they're changing the Spinosaurus roar because of complaints and feedback.

That's why threads like this are important. Because it lets Frontier know their flaws so they can fix them

If nobody complained they'd think the AI and lack of cosmetics, and in this case, the Spinosaurus roar, were all fine.

The Spinosaurus thing has me curious though, because the second roar it displayed was clearly like its vocals in the movie. So what the heck was happening with that first one?

Providing constructive feedback and even complaining about something is fine. I do that too. Because yes, they do listen and they do change things. Which is great.

This thread, which you created to solely point out that some people are so overly defensive about the game, doesn't qualify as either. Don't sugarcoat your negativity and finger pointing with saying you're providing constructive criticism to get Frontier to change something. Not sure either why you even bother in the first place. I mean, didn't you say the game is gonna be a ''monumental let down''? You may wanna check out some of the other threads that actually do it in the right way.

I totally agree with you and was just about to say the same thing.
There's a big difference between constructive criticism and what was said in the OP.

You put perfectly into words what I was thinking of how to say. There is ways to vocalize your concerns which many people here and on other forms have done, than there is the OP who is one of the biggest critics of the game and not in a good way. No matter what frontier has said he has had to complain about it or as he did a few months ago spread straight up lies of the game.

And not only the spinosaurus roar gets tuned to more accurately shown in JP3, but Frontier also keyed in on AI. So its all good.

Is there hope for Baryonyx to have nothing to complain about in the end? Wait and see until the next episode of Frontier Drama, where the next meme will arise.

I don't know what to say actually but I do believe what Baryonyx is doing has its merit.

First, let me make myself clear here. The only reason I'm here in the forum is to provide feedbacks (both +ve and -ve) and suggestions to make this a better game.

Also, the main purpose of gaming is to be happy. It makes no sense to argue just for the sake of it.

However, most of the time, I feel the pressure that people is trying to shut me down by claiming that what we have seen is just a dev build. To that, I completely agree but that doesn't make the claim anything more than a pure speculation itself.

Should we solely rely on speculation while we're trying to make progress? Or should we ground ourselves based on what we've seen with our naked eyes and starting from there? For me, I'll pick the latter. As long as we are not getting too far to conclude that it is the final product, everything is fine and should be that way.

At the same time, I really do appreciate what the opposites have done. Without them, the system will be out of balance. In my own personal experience, most of the time, despite the pressure felt, it actually helps me to reach a better conclusion. The problem though, is all about balance - for instance, if there is already tons of people stand on one side, I don't see a need to add another person on that side (unless it is a poll of opinions, not suggestions). Hope people can understand this - however unintentional it may sounds, it can easily becomes a cyber bullying/voice suppression. That's all I'm going to say.

Thanks but you didn't have to make that screenshot, she already posted in this forum: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...g-Animations?p=6698554&viewfull=1#post6698554

It's stuff like this that are the reason developers need to be very communicative with their community, which is why I'm always pleased to see Bo's responsiveness.

The more in-the-know the community is about the development with this sort of game, the better. These days, the behind closed doors approach only lays seeds of mistrust and worry. Transparency where it is necessary is valuable thing. If people are worried about the AI, tell em you're working on it. To that I say bravo.

The lack of decoratives is what's really bumming me out about this game. I really want to make a proper Jurassic World and customize it as much as possible, but there's not much to go on with what they've shown so far. The main street in a recent video I've seen looks so bare. They teased a bunch of buildings on Facebook, but there aren't that many of them (that were revealed) and they all look really similar. It'slittle details like this that really bug me because it's supposed to be a park builder, yet from what I've actually seen, the building is just lacking.

Well customization is out of the question cause the game is limited by consoles. At least any kind of highly details customization. Console controllers just don't work well with that kind of intensive customization.

I don't know, The Sims has pretty decent customization on console. Obviously JW:E Is a larger scale game, but I think they could get a lot more customization in the game that Consoles can handle.

It's not the fact that the consoles can't handle it. It's the controller. The customization in Planet Coaster is down to the finest detail and that includes placement. You can't get that level or precision with a controller thumb stick. Only a mouse and keyboard can do that. Trying to place everything with a controller and make it just right would be frustrating.

I have to disagree.

I have to disagree.

Have you ever tried to play a FPS or any game that involves shooting on a console? There is a reason why shooters on consoles get auto-aim. Now I have been gaming on PC's for years now. I bought a ps3 last summer and have been playing Red Dead Redemption. The game has auto-aim turned off. I played it for a few minutes and went looking for the auto-aim.

When you want to place something just right in a management building game if you are doing it on a console it's difficult.

Yep. I used to play console a while ago. From my experience, people get really good at using controllers after using them for so long. If I went back to using a controller now, I'd be struggling, but there are plenty of people that can use them really well. I don't think that'd stop them from placing buildings down properly. Might take a bit more time to aim, but not that hard.

More proof that complaining and criticism gets results. If everyone stayed silent then it wouldn't get fixed.

Hogwash

Tropico, Aden Colony, Sims all were on consoles and placing objects was easy with no issue at all.

Perhaps the level of customisation in Planet Coaster would be too difficult. But having single trees, fountains, rocks etc wouldn't.

I never have an issue aiming on a console. Or even placing things, Cities Skylines, Tropico, Sims all have huge detail orianted controls and they work fine. I find FPS actually easier using the PS4/Xbox one rather than a PC even with auto aim off.
