Bo Confims money not transferable.

So Bo just confirmed in Reddit that there is no money sharing between islands. Each island starts with x amount and you start from there. The upside is that all research, and digsites are available on every island once unlocked.

I like this. You have the dinos and the experience of the previews islands, but you still have to build your park from the start. It would have probably made the game too easy otherwise

I think that's a good thing, we saw the gameplay video from the JP anniversary event and they had 26 million in the bank on the first island.
It would be very easy to first earn a lot of money on a tutorial island that has almost no challenge and than use it to fast build everything on the other islands.

Good choice. Otherwise it's be too easy to pop some easy Struthiomimus in a cage on easy island and leave it running to farm.

However, that reminds me of something else related to money. Do we know if we have running costs for wages, maintenance and the like?

Edit: scratch that question. It would be odd if a park management game wouldn't come with running costs ;)

I do too. I thought it might be a bit easy if it was like that. Now we know we have to work for it.

While it doesn't make sense to not transfer the money from island to island considering you are one company, I like the idea since it would have been much too easy to stockpile loads of cash on one island and then just build anything and everything on the next few.

I'm glad you have a specific budget per Island. This makes you put in good effort for each Island sepperately. :)
