Nodosaur Confirmed. Sauropelta?

A nodosaur can be seen at the 1:10 mark in the new dev diary. My initial thought was Nodosaurus, based on the image from reddit, but upon examining it in the video, it appears to have shoulder spikes, so it may be Sauropelta or a similar nodosaur.

So Nublar is the sandbox and we can "build whatever park we like". So we can build JW or JP.

There is going to be a free JWFK update and I saw the carnotaurus. :)

So once we play through the game and unlock Nublar we can use everything we unlocked on the other islands to build on Nublar which was described as a huge open space. They said we can build any park we like, which means we have two options. No guesses needed as to what the other option is.


I am so hyped. :D

It's likely we'll just be treating Nublar as a site B if we just don't build the park and let the dinosaurs roam.

BUT, I think we should get a Site B DLC. Not necessarily for a site B mode but for male dinosaurs and perhaps breeding. But that would be something for far down the road.

Hold your horses there, ‘build any park you like’ could mean anything. It could mean building Jurassic World as a theme park, or a scientific research facility, or a security outpost, or all 3 combined.

I mean, if you want you can have a Site B on Nublar since you have no restrictions. But also, if you look at the trailer, you can see that the park is surroned by fences, and probably the dinos are free while the visitors are in a tiny space where they can take a gyrosphere and go into the wilderness

There wouldn't be anything distinguishing it from the other islands then. There wouldn't be reason to call it sandbox mode. 'Sandbox' implies no restrictions in the game mode itself.

In the video, it suggests playing through the course of the game to unlock the dinosaurs and buildings so they can be used on Nublar. If I recall correctly, many of these assets are unlocked by progressing through the game via improving your park and going through the faction missions. Is that correct?

So yes, you could build Jurassic World as those four things, but you could also just build nothing and have the dinosaurs roam. You wouldn't be tied to a campaign for progression.

Then we could "almost" confirm jeeps and jp 1993 buildings.... Or Another free DLC? :D

True, but as blubbit said there won't be any restrictions on us or obligations from the three divisions. Of course you could build a park dedicated to one of the three divisions, but again this is sandbox and not the career campaign.

But having a JP themed sandbox makes sense cause it would be hard to turn it into a career mode and too much extra work. It would just be easier to give us access to the JP themed assets and just let us go wild on Nublar in sandbox mode.

All we know now is that it will be a sandbox but I have a feeling they haven't told us everything yet.
If you notice how fast all this information is coming in the past two weeks, what else is there in the next 3 weeks before release?
I also hope the FK dlc will come out before I unlock Nublar but I doubt it.

Said it on numerous threads that I’m recreating the original Jurassic Park. I’m so stoked about this sandbox mode. All I need now is for a few more dinosaurs to be confirmed. Herrerasaurus being one of them.

As far as news about the game goes today has been total sensory overload. lol
