Results of the community dinosaur wishlist on the JW:E subreddit!

So I recently asked the people over on the JW:E subreddit to list three dinosaurs they would like in the game that haven't already been confirmed. I had 87 total responses, most of them complete, and I generated some results using those responses!

As you can see, the most requested dinosaurs by far were Therizinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, and Acrocanthosaurus. Coming in close behind these three are Amargasaurus, Argentinosaurus, and Oviraptor. Furthermore, we have Carcharodontosaurus in 6th place, and Australovenator, Herrerasaurus, Iguanodon, Troodon, and Utahraptor coming in at a 5-way 7th place tie.

I think these results are very interesting, and I definitely think that all of the dinosaurs in the top 10 deserve to be in the game at some point. When you consider that there were only 87 total responses, and that they could only list 3 dinosaurs each out of several hundred, I think that even the dinosaurs that only got 6-8 votes are quite popular in the community and would be lovely additions to the game. And of course, the absolute titans that received around 20-30 votes (Therizinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, and Acrocanthosaurus) are clearly in insane demand from the community.

I mainly did this to learn what dinosaurs the community wants most, and maybe to even give Frontier some ideas for dinosaurs they might want to include in DLC later on, if I am lucky enough for some developers to quickly skim through my post.

What do you think of these results? What dinosaurs do you want to see? Comment below!

First off, shoutout to you for doing that! Great idea.

I would also love to see the Giganotosaurus. Think of a threeway battle with her, Rexy and the Spino. Would be very interesting to see.

And also a pack of Utahraptors would be incredible! :D

I'm surprised to see Cacharodontosaurus that far down. Even my bbygril Oviraptor beat it out.

Very good. There seems to be a pretty good consensus on which dinosaurs we want for the game. I'd love for all of these to make it into the game at some point.

Only one I can't wrap my head around is Utahraptor, because JP Velociraptors are basically Utahraptors.

I believe the Utahraptor is bigger than the JP Velociraptor? I might be wrong... But since I'm a big raptor fan, I can't have too many, and I would just love to see the design for it. I'm curious to how intelligent the raptors will be in the game. Might not be wise to have too many. :D

And also if Deinonychus will be showing the same behavior as the raptors.

Really? I always thought they´re based on deinonychus :S

Anyway the result doesn´t surprise me. Giganoto and Acrocantho were asked for very often. A shame Troodon is only 7th. Loved them in JP:TG

I like every single dinosaur to make it to the game in the future. :)
My favorite additions would be Argentinosaurus, Albertosaurus and Giganotosaurus.

Utahraptors could grow to be larger, but I think those are upper estimates rather than average species size. It would still be very similar to Velociraptor, not unlike how similar our three Ornithomimids are.

Technically yes, they were based on Deinonychus, but they were significantly larger than actual Deinonychus, which are closer in size to true Velociraptors. Utahraptor also wasn't an established genus at the time until after the movie came out, I think. Point is, JP Velociraptors would closely resemble Utahraptors much like how Ornithomimids resemble each other.

What I do want Frontier, at least one more tyrannosaurid please. Almost all species have 2 or 3 dinosaurs of the same family. Do not leave the T-Rex alone!

I was happy with the movie Dinosaurs. Any extras just make it better.

I am sure they will all look good. In JPOG some of the Dinosaur models looked terrible and some looked good (for the time).

NO - there are not. Actually the JP/JW Velociraptors are based off Achillobator. As they were discovered in 1989, about 1 year before the original Jurassic Park novel was published. While it was not officially named and described until a decade later. Crichton found out about the "giant species of raptor from Mongolia". - thru his paleontologist advisers (like Dr. Bakker, and Horner).

Agreed - two species of tyrannosaurids would be even better. Also I would love to see at least 2 carcharodontosaurids (Acrocanthosaurus ,Giganotosaurus, or Carcharodontosaurus).

Then i really hope we get more than 1 carcharodontosaurid. Worst case scenario we dont get a single one. And the top 3 requested ones communitywide is Giga, Carchy or Acro.
