New IGN video about Isla Nublar

Well, awesome to some degree. From what we know so far, this means
NO JP 1993 setting as many of us had hoped or desired for.
NO fluent day/night cycle. Only changing to a static level of light, means no real nighttime for closed Park or sleep is simulated. disappointing.

I dont mean to be negative but frontier quite burst my bubbles.

Maybe DLC later on then

I believe we still haven't heard everything. But just incase we always have the DLC backup idea. All they have to do is make the JP themed game assets DLC and I will buy it and build the real Nublar. ;)

Having the ability to set the lighting is fine with me. I don't need the day and night cycle anyway. I just need the lighting.

I think people are getting ahead of themselves when it comes to "new sauropods". This isn't a shot at you, Exlare, mostly people on reddit, but with each new video, there's a clip that features a sauropod in the distance which very easily could be Apatosaurus, but because it looks slightly off due to to it being distorted and pixelated a bit, people are crying wolf.

Except in one instance where it does look like something new, and it's even plausible for it to be a therizinosaur, but I can't say exactly what it was.

BIS pretty much confirmed that it was a new Sauropod and there is enough reliable sources claiming there is at least one more that we will get.

To be fair, I did ponder at the possibility of it being new because of how rigid its posture is lol. Didn't want to assume it was new though.

The DLC with the aesthetic of Jurassic Park of 1993 (buildings, cars, skins of dinosaurs for Isla Nublar) I see it quite likely. Surely it will be paid because it is to do many things.

About the unlimited money, I hope you give us the option to activate it or not. That is very easy to implement.

And on the day / night cycle, I would like to be able to change the time during the game to be able to play at the time of day that I want.

Me too, Tegry.
hoped for a more realistic, more improved game of the first. Then they do not set day and night cycle, and they put indestructible and sat-immortal cars. :(

I see your point.
I'm like of two minds about it.
On the first hand, as I stated in another thread, I watched the JWE announcement trailer and was THRILLED as I recognized the Workers at the fence and the T-Rex Scene in which she burst through it and the workers try to escape, even helped each other trying to escape by foot since their Jeep is destroyed/upside-down. soooo immerse gameplay, I felt immediately like being back in JP 1993.

Over time as it became clear, that it was a (fake/mock-up) trailer, -well at least a pre-rendered trailer with no ingame material and this mechanics just were made up-, I became really disappointed.

Same goes for day/night cycle and unfortunately NO 1993 Jurassic Park managing on Isla Nublar..

on the other hand as many mates have stated here in the forums, lets hope Frontier has not shown all they have up their sleeves right now… Chances imho are small that Frontier still has any BIG(!) Secrets and Features to reveal ...but.. Hey.. we will see.

When have games ever been exactly like what we have seen in the trailers? I haven't ever seen that happen.

As far as no 1993 JP on Nublar? Yeah it's a bit disappointing. But we haven't seen everything about Nublar I believe and they could still do a DLC that gives us JP themed game assets.

At 0:41, on the right of the monorail track just before the station, there appears to be some more land in another part of the valley. Maybe the area available in the Sandbox is a lot bigger than it appears to be?

I think you hoped you didnt get your hopes up too much. I knew from the trailer that it wasn't game play. Any time you see pre-rendered footage it is obvious that it is no actually gameplay.

Well, maybe I got too hyped too early in the stage.

I dont want to re-discuss this again, but at least I thought that IF a certain Action (in this case the break-out and chasing of the staff PLUS stuff on foot and repairing the fence manually) is shown it will be in game.

YES if graphics will be different from the actual game, thats something I saw lot in the past and even in presence. But I was more referring to game features and Actions that are typical for Jurassic franchise. Thats because I became disappointed.. a shown (even not directly promoted) but beloved feature is missing.

It was shown, but never promoted as an in game feature. You have yourself to blame. They never advertised it as a game feature. Most games do a mock trailer to fo hype for the game. Never take it seriously until you see in game footage.

Too bad a lot of people don't understand this. It's like a lot of them are taking their first trip through the world and learning how things work.
