Well in the Galmap filter there is a star class Checkbox for Wolf Rayet stars. They are a class of their own.

Looking for high mass Systems is the way to go. Tagged a dozen of those impressive stars that way.
The ingame filter only filters systems by their primary star and not by additional stars found in a system. Looking for high mass AA-A H systems was for sure a nice way a while ago, but even with a list of all randomly generated region names i didn't found any wolf rayet that isn't on edsm already.
Note that by the edges, you should go to the bottom or top of the galaxy, as you won't find any mass code H systems along the rim. You might want to look at EfilOne's masscode sectors map, fire up EDSM and your in-game galaxy map, and look up specific sectors. Chances are, if you find some in-game that's not on EDSM yet, it'll be untagged.As you can see in the list in the Forum thread I linked, and due to their WR's are found ONLY in AA-A H Systems. Whether they are the Primary star or not. Sorry to hear yours are all already tagged. But do not despair, they are there, outside. Look for the edges of the galaxy, those that aren't much visited yet. You may want to bring a ship with a huge jump range and jumponium. When those are required, chances are good the stars aren't tagged, at all.
Looking at my local copy of the EDSM data, it looks like it agrees that the procedurally generated WRs are only in the "AA-A H" systems. Within those, I was able to find these as primary star types, in cases where the WR was a secondary:
A (Blue-White super giant) Star: 105
A (Blue-White) Star: 37
B (Blue-White) Star: 73
Herbig Ae/Be Star: 9
O (Blue-White) Star: 145
You're not maybe able to make something like a statistical analysis of the wolf rayets in the edsm database on a monthly basis ? Like how many new wolf rayets have been added to edsm per month through the last year ?

As long as the dates in the data are accurate, it might be possible. Hmm. I'll take a look.
Anyone knows what kind of star classes to search when i want to find an untagged wolf rayet star that may have better chances of containing one ?

If you don't mind travelling then many sectors the other side of Sag A* have AA-A H systems that have not been tagged at all. Rhuedgo, around 33k lyrs from the bubble has loads of untagged AA-A H systems full of Wolf Rayets,Black holes and other massive systems I found too plentiful to scan more than a handful of there.

Actually that's probably a good area to look for undiscovered stuff in general. The most heavily traveled paths out of the bubble are toward Sgr-A* and Colonia, and where you are is just to the east of that route to the core, instead of leaning westward like the Colonia path. People go that way, but in nowhere near the numbers that the other coreward-ish directions get.

At first I was also thinking Herbigs do have a lot of companions. After exploring several dozens of them, it seems most of them are solitary stars, but WHEN they have companions, oh Boy are they numerous![]()
