T10 fuelled up and country trucking music loaded... time to haul

Strange decision with t-10 and hauling, be honest you've never traded before?

Hello there,

Thank you for the feedback! Grade 5 material requirements for engineering should have reduced by one rank, so it seems like it hasn't occured for Shield Boosters. We've informed the team so we can get that corrected as soon as possible.

If Commanders out there discover any other engineerings recipes that are still showing normal material requirements, please let us know.

We'll be listening to feedback and making tweaks here and there to ensure that this is the best event it can possibly be!

Hello Will,
it seems that the reduce cost not working as advertised before hand. i still need 2 matirials for grade 2 - 3 for grade 3 and so on. in cases like the shield generator even matirials that i dont need in the normal weekend.

could you check if that is correct.
Cheers
Dana

Well I wont get much of a chance this weekend being physically away in the real world, however things seem to be falling apart already, so maybe just as well.:/

:)
It was parked nearby and is good enough for the job at hand.

I mean same pain but with T9 you get almost 1.5 amount of cargo(784) than the T-10 (464), but great idea with country music, time to listen for the Johnny Cash and John Denver. And suggestion to FD to integrate Apple Music to the right side panel :D

Not making sense, I'm sure many of us know G5 increased range FSD requires, Arsenic, Chem Manipulators, and DWE - now they are asking for Rhenium, Chemical Distillery and Eccentric Hyperspace Trajectories, which is not a G4 requirement. For G4 you need Manganese NOT Rhenium. Pointless engineering as you don't know what mats you need

If this event succeeds in creating more player activity for the time it's on, then would it be reasonable to suggest that increasing profit and reducing the requirement for engineers might be worth looking at on a more permanent basis? I'm hoping so. I know, I know, correlation is not causation and I'm presuming you agree that more player activity is a good thing.

Hello everyone,

We have updated the OP for added clarity:

Edit: There are 5 ranks for materials (as can be seen in the Material Trader) and 5 ranks for engineering recipes, and these are two different ranks. This bonus relates to the rank of materials, not the rank of engineering recipes. The cost for engineering a module at Grade 5 will use Grade 4 equivalent materials, not the materials seen in Grade of the engineering recipe of that same module. We have made the changes ingame to reflect the bonus, what you see ingame right now is what you need for engineering a module during this bonus period.

Once again, unfortunately, the dev team shows great ideas with p$$$ poor implementation. I was half way expecting such, and I'm seeing all announcements with apprehension.

Have you hired new people and left them in charge of ideas?
Why everything good you suggest has to bring such disappointment?
I love this game, why do you make me type so negative comments?

Geeezzz...c'mon guys, how could you miss the salt mine this would create, and why wasn't it clarified earlier in the threads talking about the week long cheaper engineering? It was pretty obvious what people were thinking this meant :D

I think it would be even clearer to put on the front page something like this:

Engineers introduce Different but Cheaper recipes for the week.
