I'm (atm) an Imp, and I used to own a FAS. Now I own a Chieftan, which probably isn't much better, but at least it's white (sort of). It's ok to like the other sides ships. What matters is that you believe the principles of your faction over the enemy.

Immersion is about using the best ship for the job. I'm totally into the Empire but my max engineered Asp Explorer makes playing this game so much easier. Luckily the open mode serious PvP players haven't screwed this up yet but give them time and lots of wining posts.
