OUTSIDE VIEW

I am a new player just bought new paint for my ship... WHAT IS THE POINT? there is no outside view so I never see it. Red Baron made in 1990 (28 years ago) had an outside view...

Why not ???

Also dogfighting using an outside view is at least like looking through a 10cm pipe instead of of our current 30cm pipe. Oculis Rift players have such a non tunnel view advantage.

Why would anyone pay for paint they can never see after being conned the first times ????

***NEWSFLASH***

It's already in game & has been, well, since almost forever...

The manual is quite a good read by the way, lots of interesting stuff in there, most of it accurate!

Why do people pay for paint jobs on their cars when the majority of the time only other people see it as they drive by?

Having said that, yes, there's been external cameras to look at your ship for a very long time.

Not only is there an external view (even while flying your ship) but also a powerful camera suite which includes depth of field focus blur.

Using terms such as “being conned” is inappropriate. All the information is out there in various media forms for you to find. Incidentally, prior to purchase you could of checked (asked) how visible the paint jobs are by using the in game camera first.

Great days.

click ctrl+alt+space all at the same time and watch the magic happen.

you can also turn of the UI by pressing ctrl+alt+g at the same time, you turn it on again by pressing the same combination.

True, but the bit about the camera is accurate

... yes indeed. I was more reflecting that the trade info, crime and Engineers is really dreadful. I pity anyone starting-out now, it is a disgrace in my opinion. (Having berated many a technical author for tardiness and ineptitude in an earlier career. ;) )
