What do you think of Homages?

so, Frontier have made some pretty darn excellent games, I think most here would agree. so what would you think about getting little homages to past titles in JWE?

Not huge things, but little Gulpee / Chief beef decorations possibly, or a fairground ride where the carriages are little Cobra Mk.III space ships etc. Would it kill immersion for you, or would you like to see it as a little nod to Frontiers history?

Frankly I'd rather see nods to the franchise l. Like the 10,000 volt signs on the fences or the shaving cans in the gift shop. That kind of thing. Bluntly I could care less about their other games showing up in Easter eggs

It is a Jurassic World licensed game, the only homages and Easter eggs I expect are from JP/JW lore and nothing else.
It would kill the immersion of this game.
I have also Planet Coaster, if I want to see Gulpee and Chief Beef I play PC.

This!

I do also not like the idea of having non JP/JW realted stuff in here. Would kinda ruin the "Illusion" of Jurassic Park.

Fair points. In whcih case, what kind of nots to the JP / JW franchise would you be looking for? The 10,000 volts and shaving foam I agree were a good shout. Any other bits and pieces?

Honestly, I hate the Barbasol can in the gift shop. It's an immersion breaker. We all know where that can came from. It makes no sense to have it for sale as a souvenir. "Hey, remember that time a disgruntled employee shut down the fences and got a lot of people - including himself - killed in an attempt at corporate sabotage? Well, now you can remember it too with your very own can of Barbasol, just like the one Dennis Nedry (RIP) smuggled embryos with!"

I get that it's an easter egg, but I think we could do better. Put Chilean Sea Bass on the menu at the restaurant, put Plastic Lunch Boxes in the gift shops. That sort of thing.

I hadn't thought of it from that angle to be honest. It's a good point. I can't really think of a lore reason they'd want to. Somebody else might be able to though.

haha yeeessss. I was watching back the movies this week in preparation and didn't remember him being as ANTI-Project as he is (I also didn't remember hammond's atrocious Scottish accent but the less said about that the better).

Ian Malcolm hated the park at all times, so I'm hoping he really brings the sass in game.

Yeah, I think he will and yes he hated the park but he also had respect for the science and the power of the dinosaurs.
He mostly hated that they did it for profit and that they never asked themselves if they should do it.
It wasn't all that black and white though, because Hammond clearly loved his dinosaurs and even said that he wanted everyone to enjoy the park not only the super rich.

I like the evil Disney Hammond on the book. Something about him made you know the park was doomed from the start. Also Muldoon was such a badass I the book.

I really should buy the books.
When some of you are talking about it, I have the feeling I'm missing out on something.
