DNA - Breeding possibility

Hey guys, I had an idea that struck me and I don't know if anyone has thought about it or discussed it. But since Frontier want to be loyal to the lore and franchise there is a possible way for them to add breeding. In the first film didn't they mix the dinosaur DNA with a certain frog that could change its sex? So the dinosaurs were able to switch gender and start breeding. If so, I thought that maybe it is possible we could get access to this DNA and wait for nature to 'find a way'. Hence, this allows our dinosaurs to breed? Because if so I really want to start seeing some baby dinosaurs.

Please let me know what you guys think or if the developers have actually considered this? I know it is additional work on their part but it would be something amazing to see added in the future after the game is released. [smile]

I think quite a part of the game will be mixing up different genomes which you find to give the species different perks (or drawbacks I suppose).

I too have been dreaming of a T.Rex with Trike horns... but we might not be able to go that far :D

They have said you can't make your own random dinos. Basically the only 2 that we know are Indom and Indo. As for babies dinos I doubt we will see the ever in this game. That is a lot of money to me and depending on how the game Is it could mean a complete overhaul of it to adapt to animations, etc.

Personally I like how it is now, because the baby dinosaurs will be to small, that's also the reason we don't have Compsognathus in the game.
Besides the Indominus Rex and Indoraptor I don't care much for hybrids and monstrosities.
Changing the gnomes is more than enough for me.

While having a petting zoo - like we saw in Jurassic World - would make it feel more like the movie. I doubt we will actually have baby dinosaurus, in the game - for the same reasons as has been stated above.

I also agree about the hybrids. IMPO - we really do not need more than 2 hybrids - Indominus rex, & Indoraptor.

Personally I am indifferent to the hybrids; I don’t mind them but I am having a bit of hard time (with exception to the Indominus rex) as to how they can be exhibited when compared to the real dinosaurs. But we can’t just have two.

Regardless of their appearance, Frontier should at least provide players the option to make the other hybrids that Dr. Wu was working on in the Hammond Creation Lab. The Indominus rex and Indoraptor shouldn’t be the only ones when considering that they are both carnivores and the latter can be easily argued as just a variation of the Indominus.

If they do make hybirds:
I would just like them to do some hybrids that don't look too far fetched and I would also like them to do a hybrid from the I-Rex concept art.
if they choose to do more than two hybirds.

Personally, I think it would be very weird if dinosaurs of different species starting breeding and producing fertile offspring. Interspecies breeding (analogous to what apparently went on between modern humans and Neanderthals after the latter arrived in Eurasia) could make sense for species that were already closely related to one another (e.g. T. rex with another tyrannosaurid), but something like T. rex breeding with Triceratops? Ugh!

That said, I would definitely want there to be male and female dinosaurs with the ability to breed within each species. The whole "all the dinosaurs are supposed to be female" trope in the original JP never made much sense to me. Not only would letting the dinosaurs breed save on incubation costs for the park, but plenty of visitors would be interested in observing sexual dimorphism within each species.

Keep in mind that in various bird and reptile species, the males tend to be more colorful. And in crocodilians, the closest relatives to dinosaurs after birds, the males also tend to grow larger.
