Why such a gap between physical and digital release?

1. Whether there will be a physical deluxe edition? If so, when will it be available for pre-order
2. Do physical pre-orders get the bonus ACU helicopter/ranger vehicle skins despite being released after the digital version?

On the first question I can answer, there will be no physical deluxe version but you will be able to buy the deluxe dinosaurs with a digital dlc.

Both answers are no. They have confirmed no deluxe physical release.

What do you mean technically less? All you get with a physical copy is a plastic case and some cover art. You might get a 2 or 3 page manual in black and white with basics about the game if you are lucky. I don't even think games have manuals anymore.

With a physical copy you have the option of trading in at a later date or on selling, also generlly costs about $30 less than the digital version.

Not around her. They are the exact same price. It is only cheaper if you get a used copy.

Quite right but to go slightly further than that as well they've confirmed that there WON'T be one, as well. [EDIT] - Apologies, I read that incorrectly as "they have no confirmed" rather than "they have confirmed no". My Bad

On the subject of the OP, I'm not sure myself why there's a big gap like this between them, but it's a question we're putting to the Frontier team when we get them in the interview room tomorrow, and we'll do our best to let folks know

Just to update if anyone is interested re: question 2. I've confirmed with Frontier via Twitter that the physical edition will get the bonus vehicle skins if they preorder before release date.
