So it seems we have more nonmainstream dinosaurus, why Frontier?!

I don't really see this as a valid issue. These are actual animals that are related to each other. They are going to look and behave like each other too. It's the same way in real life.
You are absolutly right on that. My point of view was about something different. What I meant was not, that we got a bunch of different "cats". My point is We have got bengal Tiger, caspian Tiger, siberian tiger and some more tigers, but we don´t have Lions or Leopards for example. The only thing I can repeat is We´ve got Triceratops, Chasmosaurus, Torosaurus and Pentaceratops, But No Pachyrhinosaurus or Einiosaurus, which would be much more unique and different to the other ones of that family.

First: Deinonychus > Velociraptor! Technically in JP and JW there is no Velociraptor because it is actually Deinonychus only named Velociraptor.
True. That´s meants we´ve got the same species twice. Torosaurus and Triceratops are probably the same species either. Pachychepalos and Dracorex also ... The result of that is that we´ve got 3 species twice, which strenghten my point. ;)

Also there maybe different preferences by different people.
Also very true, but my Opinion isn´t about my taste of animals. It´s about Balance so, to be honest, I don´t understand your argument here. :S

And that is great, you should appreciate it.
No worry I do appreciate Frontiers Work very much ;) But even through I still think they wasted potential on that point and I think that´s a shame.

I would have been happy with just the movie Dinosaurs. They didn't have to make more of them. It's a common issue with these new games that we generally get less than we had in games from the past. Sure the graphics look nice and the physics are nice and the animations. But new games a lot of the times lack what older games had. It's understandable cause more effort is put into making the games look nice these days. JPOG had 25 and this game will have 37-42 Dinosaurs. You would think people would happy with that.

Eactly, plus we have a free DLC coming out less than 2 weeks after game release. Some people will never be happy.

They just want to whine and complain it seems. There are not enough dinosaurs, there's too many Dinosaurs, certain Dinosaurs are too small. The whining and complaining is really too much.

But JPOG was also about 15 years old. In addition - if they had not revealed so many dig sites (30-32) then chances are most people would be quite happy with about 37-42 species. But with that many dig sites - many people are/were expecting much higher numbers of species.

After all - if 9 dig sites - allowed for 25 dinosaur species in JPOG. Then 37-42 species should come from about 13-15 dig sites - if you only have 3 dinosaurs per dig site (with a few duplicates).

Still in the end - many of us who may be a bit critical at this point - will eventually learn to accept the game as is. As the addition of new species and new DLCs will hopefully help clear up any issues we originally had with the game.

Well now the complaint is that all the new ones look the same, I swear there could be 200 dinosaurs in the game and it still wouldn't be enough

Yes JPOG is a 15 year old game. But this game looks 100x better JPOG, the animations are better, the Dinosaurs look better, the lighting is better, we have the actual islands and the foliage looks much better. Tons of work has been put into making this game look good.

Just because right now there are a few Dinos per dig site does not mean down the road there isn't going to be more added. This is a very smart company and I would not be surprised in the least if some of the lesser populated dig sites are there on purpose for future dlcs, that way they can save time adding a whole new dig site and just add the dinos right to it.

Some of them want the DLC for free. lol

No doubt about that. And I am not debating the amount of time, effort and hard work which went to the game's creation. I am just trying to voice some of my dislikes about certain species selection.

By the way - I am a person who can have a few issues or dislikes of certain elements within a movie or game - and yet still overall enjoy the movie or game very much. Case in point - is JPOG. I had some of the same issues with JPOG - but I ultimately ended up enjoying quite a bit - in spite of any flaws. And that was before any of the mods came out. In fact - I still have JPOG on my laptop.

I don't doubt that either. This is one of the things which gives me a lot of hope for the future of JWE. As 37-42 species is a pretty good start. But thinking about how many species could be in the game (thru additional updates & DLC) has me quite excited. I also hope that JWE will be a game which I enjoy for many years to come.

You can either have a game that looks bad with a bunch of Dinosaurs that look bad or you can have a really good looking game with a few Dinosaurs that look really good. Take your pick. Obviously some of the work that would have went into making more Dinosaurs went towards making the game look good. What we have is a nice selection of really nice looking Dinosaurs in a game that looks amazing. I would rather have that than a bad looking game with a bunch of bad looking Dinosaur models and animations.

I think they went down the right route, there is just enough balance between the two.

I do as well. People want all the Dinosaurs but they have to keep in mind you wouldn't be able to put them all in one park anyway and BIS said this in his video. There is more Herbivores cause you can put multiple different types of them into the same enclosure.

exactly, and there is even more on the way.
