Controversial thought- it'd be a good thing if this game was rushed out to build hype for the movie.

Because if what we've seen so far is the result of rushed development, the people at Frontier delivered us an absolute miracle.

This game is beautiful, it's wildly ambitious, and is the perfect thing to heal that hole that developed in your humanity after your child self learned you could not actually grow up to be John Hammond. Its an amazing feeling of spiritual completion. Now I'm not saying there aren't a ton of valid criticisms out there, which brings me to my second point.

Frontier is a company notorious for supporting their games after release. A handful of patches and a few DLC, and literally the moment we've been waiting for since we saw our first dinosaur becomes all that minus most of the things people keep complaining about and a bunch of the things they keep begging for.

As far as I'm concerned, this game is at 93% of a hundred, and has absolutely nowhere to go but up.

It's gonna be off the charts.

I'm not sure how your thread title and post are entirely related.

Are you saying the game should be pushed out early because it's good enough as it is now and can get better later or what?

That's the vibe I'm getting from him, and I'd be reluctant to agree with him, at least in the sense that Frontier support their games well, so if they're not finished by release date, they'll update, patch and modify it through the upcoming months after release. The problem is the playerbase; knowing what I know, I'm reluctant to buy the game on release and will likely wait until it's been updated and patched. I've been eagerly awaiting this game for some time, though I'm reluctant to buy any game that's still a work-in-progress but released anyway.

More often than not if a new game, or a new expansion is released, I'll wait anywhere between a week and a month before I get invested - let them iron out the bugs first, then get a better experience when I start.

I love what you are saying, I think with what they have had they are making the best game that they possibley could, there will be improvements down the line, I bet in 6 months there will be a huge improvement in the game.

I'm saying that this game is amazing. Games with full development cycles have come out with far less. Games that are movie tie-ins? Universal could have thrown out absolute garbage and would have been well within the standards of the industry.

But they didn't. They got Frontier to make the game of a lifetime on a rushed schedule. Yes, there are bugs, yes, there are things they should have spent more time on, but none of it breaks the game, and all of it will be improved post-release.

Now i realize, people dont want to play a game that is released "half done," but JWE is a lot closer to 90% done, and that extra 10% is guaranteed post-launch.

Even at 90% however, this game is amazing.

It is not rly possible to say the game is perfect or a miracle as it isnt out yet. U only had seen what the devs wanted to let u see. if it is good or just broken we will be able to see if we can play it on ur own. dont get me wrong, iam also rly excited about this game but developers have shown us to often that they dont keep up to what they have announced before.

Rushed games with low dev time are rarely in a good condition when they are released.

The devs from day one have never strayed away from showing us bad footage they have wanted the player base to give back critical and constructive feedback and has constantly used it to improve the game.
