Divisiveness in the forum is a bummer

Hence why I started blocking people I can't stand. I am not getting banned because they want to edge people on.
Every time I post on the forums I try to turn the conversation by putting in something funny, like quotes from the movies or jurassic park/world related subjects as well as mildly inputting my own opinion...but even with that I've been called names and attacked...I mean can't people just chuckle lightly and agree to disagree and just remember the reason why we love this franchise and this upcoming game? I don't lose sleep over people negativity but damn...Some nitpicking is gone to whole new levels of aggression. I'd rather be trapped in a kitchen with a raptor. *Hears something at the door and looks back.* "...clever girl..."

This is one of the things I absolutely hate in forums. The fighting. This is not the first forum I‘ve joined and I had been involved in some unnecessary and ridiculous fights in other forums before, which is why I most often don‘t get involved and just stay out of it. And I will continue to do just that. I know it’s hard because humans seem to have a need to get involved in these things and are more preoccupied with trying to be „right“ rather than listening to the other person and trying to find common ground and consensus or simply agree to disagree. I am guilty of that too and sometimes I need to force myself to stay out of it because I know where it will lead to eventually. I knew this would happen eventually on this forum as well. I was actually positively surprised how long we got along resonably well in here. I don‘t think blocking people is the right approach and should not be necessary (except actual trolls) but if it‘s the only way for some so be it. I haven‘t seen anybody do anything that is worth blocking them for, but I‘m also not reading every post on this forum. Please note that I‘m not judging, it‘s up to the individual anyway. But this fighting is actually why I‘m not actively participating in another forum I‘m in because whenever you say something that is just your opinion they often will go so far as to insult you. And I don‘t mean insults that could get you banned or anything but simply phrases that can be interpreted as „you are an idiot“. It‘s very destructive and only leads to me not participating anymore. Now I haven‘t seen any fighting here that is as bad as what I‘ve seen on other forums and that is a good thing. So I think we should all do our part in trying to keep it that way. After all most of us are here for the same things: because we love JP, JPOG or anything related. Not because we love fighting eachother.
I was once was a active member in a Jurassic Park community (I'm still registered, but I don't go there often anymore). I'm not kidding since the release of Jurassic World the community I had grown to love turned and became toxic. Every second thread was "could dinosaur x beat dinosaur y" and "T.rex hasn't got proper redemption in Jurassic World". And don't get me started on my recent experience in the forums. I personally don't think JW Fallen Kingdom will be a good movie (judging by the trailers so far), I will still watch the movie, but I am very sure it will disappoint me. I voiced my concerns about the movie and wasn't really attacked, but you could tell I wasn't welcome there.
I don't know what to say anymore, but Forums seem to be a lot nicer 10 years ago.
I think what makes it worse in this forum is that some people have to high expectations about the game, I just wanted a newer Operation Genesis which is exactly what we are getting. And also a lot of people freak out about little and sometimes insegnificant things, which isn't helping.

The forum did go to dung with the new info. But it's still not as bad as Reddit.
Yes we know who the children are. Now please, stop whining and complaining incessantly. If you didn't do that no one would criticize you for it or have to call you out on it.

I remeber it well.
But the forum can be a amazing place to hang out and have fun on.
And as mentioned if you don't particularly want to see a certain posters posts you can of course use the ignore function.
TBH with you it feels like you've turned out to be the biggest whiner of them all. The way you keep posting and complaining is about Whining is Whining itself.
all people on this forum deserves a fair chance our do you not agree? or do you not like people who write negative posts? this is democracy or do you prefer anything else since you don't want any negativity on this forum and keep telling them to not write on this forum...

Sure there are real trolls here now and then but All people have their rights to make their Opinions heard otherwise theres no use posting on this forum anymore if you aren't allowed to be negative and Complain at all (difference from whining).
I've no Intension to be mean but in real life in a real discussion would you openly act like this? I've been agreeing with you alot before on this forum but it seems that things have changed...
I'm sure you have the best intensions for this forum but whe have to have a open mind about negativity otherwise this forum is nothing that is democratic.
just because people are complaining about the game and sending negative feedback doesn't have to mean that they are all whiners there is a difference.
Can't wait till the game is out and we can play it ourselfs!

I think he is just sick and tired (as I am) of the same people with the same complaints. If they would take the time and be ciritical about the issues that would be one ting, but sometimes its just I want 50 raptors to kill a t rex all at once, and Frontier is a fail for mot doing that. My biggest issue and I have no problem calling people out( and would do it in real life, I am not afraid to confront people about anything) is that the people that are spreading misinformation. They AMA had A LOT of good information in it and we learned a lot /(still sad about no sleeping, but not the end of the world). We are getitng people spreading the false or half truth info and running with it like wildfire and the few people that try to correct them get called fanboys/frontier lovers etc.
still doen't explain why it's ok though... I've seen the posts you guys posted yesterday some were actually pretty mean IMO but who am I to judge...
Like I have said before. Nothing here I wouldn't say to them in real life. Yes I might have been mean or rude or whatever you want to call it, but its just frustration with people that are tearing down a game based on spreading false information. If people were actually using the real facts I would have debated with tact and respect.
I understand very well what you're saying and it was perhaps a misstake to to write this since you can't handle negative threads that well but if you truly want respect... show people respect on this side this isn't the way and I think you know it aswell... I'm not gonna bother you any longer but this is how i feel like now and it's sad to see how far it's gone
I still love the game so much and will play it for sure of course But I'm not gonna bother so much on the forum after release... I don't like repetive complaints aswell but most of the time I ignore them instead of starting an argument which you can never win based on your opinions against others that have already made up their mind what they think of this game and how they feel. it's hard to Convince people on a forum because it isn't in real life.
