Game looks like an animation showcase

I mean, does it really contain a lot of good gameplay. From the looks of it, it looks more like a animation and Graphics showcase?
And even that is not "that" impressive with lots of clipping issues.

Sorry for being a Little negative but thats how it looks in my book

Well we'll see when the reviews come out. When do the reviews come out?

From what i have seen so far the game play is going to be great. But that is a matter of opinion.
What are your expectations of this game? It's a Dinosaur Park Management game. It's not a Theme Park game.
So you are going to manage dinosaurs and create a park, like Jurassic Park/World is meant to be.

I've only seen a couple of clipping issues in the latest dev build. Yes in earlier builds there were a lot more issues but I've only seen a few in the latest build. They have already said there will be a day 1 patch to fix some issues (not sure if it includes this but it's a good thing that they are still working on it).

Clipping used to bother me. But I have seen enough clipping in games recently to know it's an issue that hasn't been completely conquered yet.

Plenty of great games have clipping issues. It's here to stay I am afraid, even in this game. Maybe some of it will be cleaned up in post release patches.

But I wouldn't make a big deal out of it or not buy the game because of it. Also from what I understand clipping is a hard issue to deal with. It can be fixed in a lot of cases but it's not as simple as people think.

The game is going to be great and that is a fact. People complaining about this kind of stuff are just nit picking. Like it's their first game ever or this is the first time they have seen clipping in a game.

Could someone explain to me what clipping actually is? Is the fact that 2 dinosaurs would walk through each other instead of bumping an example of this?

It's a management game, what kind of great gameplay are you expecting in the first place?

Also I'd like to add (please don't bully me for this) that I think the game suffered a noticable graphic downgrade since we saw the first gameplay videos. I re-watched the First In Game Footage video from 7 month ago, the lighting effects were incredible and the vegetation was much more varied. In the final game it's all generic grass everywhere.

I'm confident they'll had more terrain tools (fern, sand, rocks, pebbles, deep water) in the future post launch if we express enough feedback in that way.

I didn't notice. But if there was any kind of downgrade it's because of the fact that it's on consoles as well. Not trying to start an argument about consoles here. But that's just they way it is. Simplifications are generally done for the sake of consoles.

Are you talking about actual ingame footage or the launch trailer? (Which btw wasn't gameplay footage!)
Are you talking about the trailer where T-rex busts through a fence and eats one of the park employees?

Yeah, I get that. Actually there is ground vegetation in the game but it only grows under trees or next to buildings, so the open areas looks really empty. Again we just need more tools.

Notice also how the grass looked better and the coloration was more realistic, hopefully mods will flourish on pc eheh.

Could you add a link to the video that you have seen this in because every game play video I've watched I have not seen this level of detail in the vegetation!

Frontier has said that it currently does not support any modding. They have also said no other tools in regards to landscaping.

I said in my first message what video. This one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVnk3yT2Lgo and yes I realise it's just in-game footage, not gameplay. The second half is from the ankylosaurus species profile (which ironically also contain the same sequence from the in-game footage reveal)

You're point is not so valid as Frontier said recently they will listen to the most popular feedback requests for patches and future dlc. I remain hopefull they'll add cosmetics, for the park AND the enclosures, in the near future.

The problem with clipping in a game like this is that you fix it and that opens up a whole new can of AI worms. You fix it so that clipping with trees is removed? Good luck getting the Rex to not get stuck in the forested area of the enclosure constantly... No clipping through other dinosaurs? here, watch a dinosaur run on the spot because there's another dinosaur slowly walking past in the way. Clipping is sometimes immersion breaking, and I agree that it should be fixed, but it is not an easy fix and I'd rather have clipping than the alternative bugs caused by no clipping...

Hmm ok, that is indeed a different video then the announcement trailer. I guess we will have to wait to see if environment sliders were turned lower or not! I mean from the looks of it the trailer from your post looks a lot better in environment detail then I have seen recently.

My point is valid because I said currently ;).
At this moment there is no modding and there are no tools for landscaping other then the ones shown. Who knows what will happen in the future but that is just wait and see.
