If you tranquilize a Dinosaur and don't move it then it will die. It eventually runs out of health.

Thanks for clarifying my question.
Well, that makes sense to me. I'm not looking to throw tranquilizing darts just because I want to. unless they are transported to their enclosures again.

It seems like they don't wake up till they are transported. It's part of the animation or something. I think it's a bit odd as well but it's not game breaking. All I can think is that Frontier did it for a reason, they designed the game after all.

People complained that you couldn't kill the dinosaurs because Universal wanted non lethal method so Frontier worked around it and now people are complaining about it.

ow so am not allowed to give my opinion

Not saying that. I am saying people need to make up their mind. Ever decision that Frontier has done people complain they fix it to exactly what was asked and than they complain again about it. It is getting out of hand.

Then if you tranquilize them you better move them then or they will die. You shouldn't be tranquilizing them for fun anyway and if you do make sure you have them transported to a new spot. Unless you want them dead.

What if a tornado breaches a fence and I want to tranq my raptors before they all escape? Do I have to have a chopper come pick them up and put them back down so they don’t die after the fence is repaired?

You don’t honestly think Frontier made the tranqs lethal as a “workaround” for people who wanted actual guns, do you?

I’m just saying, there must be times when we will want/need to tranquilize a Dino without wanting/needing to move it.

Well they don't instantly die. They just lose health over time and I doubt it's that quickly. Just send out a team to repair the fence and use the helicopter to keep an eye on the raptors and dart them as needed.

Its different surely. We are not allowed to out right shoot the dinos yet if we forgot about them we can ? In the event we would have to potentially quickly dispatch a rougue dino to protect vistors or other dinos it would be much quicker and effective if we could deliver a quick kill shot rather than trying to clumsly tranq a dino. Once we have tranqed a dino there isnt the need to kill it as the situation is under control.

This for me would be an example of another weird design choice like the sleeping dinos. Certainly not game breaking and probably not a problem when playing but just weird.
