thoughts on the game now....

I still love the quality of this game to death. I will be the one of the many people excited for this game to come out. I have a few different concerns for this game just viewing what I saw today. After being one who has played planet coaster and how many hours designing and seeing other peoples work let alone downloading over 100s of different custom designs just from people here on steam. You guys set the bar for that game and not to mention Elight Dangerous. I have both of these games. The amount of detail is not the concern I have really its the amount of content and I was told there was not at this time any type of modding. If I'm not wrong that means there will not be a workshop or anything of that sort. I feel like this is something to do with Universal? You guys have put out work thats way more advanced and content hasn't ever from my knowlodge been short... This game is more of a micro manage and not much player created areas. Yeah theres minor things you can do like trees, water, walkway(without the option of seating? or lights? or trashcan? ) It doesnt fit. This seams too bare to be a Frontier type park simulator.. Please correct me if i'm wrong? I know I am not the only one on those thoughts. I loved the idea of driving the vehicles. Thats coool! I also love the amount of detail in the visuals. I'm not at all bashing this game. They just have a lot to live up too for this type of idea coming from Frontier. I Have never put so many hours into such designs as I have for Planet Coaster. That blew my mind away! Theres going to be a lot of shocked people if they think its anything like that. Quality of course! Content... Not so much.

It is two different categories of games. Planet Coaster is more of using your imagination to build whatever you want. Evoloution is a game where you Micro Manage a park. The emphasis is on the management side of it and less on the building a multitude of different things. The games are night and day so it would be hard to compare them. There's no nodding because Universal didn't want it and they had the final say in it.

One thing I was surprised they didn't add unless I missed it totally or they left it out due to time which is fair enough is park decorations, I mean nothing too crazy but have statues, fountains and plazas etc. Anyways I'm still really excited to play this [yesnod]

The main kind of decorations you will see are actually pre built on one of the.higher tier paths.

Honestly, I expect these sort of features will be released through the following weeks/months/years. Decorations would (seemingly) attirubute to guest happiness etc. If it's JUST a park full of Dinoaurs it'll seem a little stale. Food Stalls, maybe some entertainment (theatre shows, historic centres, guest dig areas etc) would surely add to the park theme.

I think this is because of the console versions. Planet Coaster was a PC game with keyboard and mouse where you could build anything. JWE is a game designed to play with gamepad.

Lack of decorations and attractions are my chief concern. Really limits what we can do.

The fact there's no decorations to spice up your park and only 2 rides is poor. Very poor.

Every enclosure is gonna end up looking the same because theres so little to add to them.

The biggest concern that I had prior to the livestream was whether there'd be enough actual gameplay / variety to keep me engaged long enough to unlock everything. The stream showed challenges that we hadn't seen (or heard about) before so I'm more confident now that the variety should be there.

Yep. They have said you need to play it 3 times to do each division fully.

Completely agreed, we really need something to differentiate our OWN Park from other's creations! I just hope they will release decorations pack in near future!

interesting. Might as well go all out for 1 of the branches and just leave the other 2 for 2 more play throughs. Although I'm certain the remaining 2 will try to crush my park once i start neglecting them haha
