So I’m on Isla Muerta and I got the secret mission “Survival of the fittest” but instead of accepting it, I accidentally cancelled it! Does this mean I have to start the island over or will it become available again?

No you can go into the control panel and select it again to start it.
Can I do this on all special missions I accidently cancelled and on the ones I might have failed too?
Is there a list of the special missions that will earn me new dinosaurs somewhere?
Yes, you can retake any mission. Not contracts though, but they are less interesting.
