News Elite Dangerous: Beyond - Chapter Two Release Date

So 2 ships, a new mission (to replace the one you cut instead of balancing), something new to scan, a couple weapons and one enemy?

Wow, that's really not very much at all given the amount of time taken to deliver and the state of the game.

If you think you can design, build, implement, test, rework, retest and release faster, I'm sure they'd love to have your CV.

...it's also just stocking fillers until Q4 don't forget. ie: Just so there's something to pass the time across the year :)

This kind of response is why the game is dying.

Star Citizen has implemented far more in the same time frame. If I were going to apply anywhere it would be at CIG.

I really enjoyed Elite but since 2015 there has been no reason to play, and adding almost nothing doesn't help with that. Chasing away players who point out problems with "make your own game then" is definitely not helping either.

Toxic behaviour like that is part of the reason I don't play anymore.
Blocked.

Does this mean he won the internet-argument? lololol

EDIT:
Just in case he didn't actually block and feels like engaging in a proper manner instead of stuffing his fingers in his ears.

CIG has about 325 or so staff dedicated to Star Citizen. Frontier has about 312 people in total, less the management / HR / marketing teams, the rest are spread across three games. To compare CIG's work turn around to Frontiers is flawed to the nth degree.

I didn't tell you to make your own game, I said to give them your CV. In addition, you missed my point by a mile - development takes time, and with the majority of ED team working on their huge Q4 update at the end of the year - I'd say it's effectively skeleton staff pushing out these small content updates.

As an aside, if you can't handle the opinions of others and respond simply by blocking them, perhaps you shouldn't be on an open discussion platform?

FD is frightend about to let players loose ships in the storyline. Station-attacks would be great, but without a megaship for every attacked station in the near where EVERY player-ship is automatically transfered to.

Let us loose ships and credits, caused by attacks.

This would be really great. To have the danger all the time to loose everything and start from the beginning.

I like this idea, it would add greatly to the sense of adventure and would be more realistic if there was an attack from an alien species IRL.

Will I get my turret Fletchette Launcher I worked (grind) for tomorrow?
It's been released from the tech trader but can't be bought anywhere. Hopefully this bug is fixed.

Where is the Panther Clipper or Turner Class. I want some big ships, not down grade to smaller ones.

Yes more big ships, flying a Fed Corvette i have no need to get into a smaller ship, yes ok, i cant go on mega trips across the cosmos easily or quickly but i didnt buy one for that purpose.

But you didn't try to answer his opinion, you played the man instead.

I actually thought my response was sufficient enough to point out that development takes time.
Thinking on it a little, it's fair to say that I should have handled it differently .. as a developer myself, it's extremely grating to see people say "is that it?!" when you've spent months of hard work on something.

Well, just compare the speed of development from almost any other game and take a close look to the results. You might be able to spot the difference.

And please have the whole process in mind (from kickstarter to today).

Not sure why you think comparing Frontier to other developers is a valid argument.
Every software house has their own SDLC and release schedule; and this is Frontier's.

They aren't the fastest, but they aren't the slowest either. I personally think the release schedule is fine.

ED came out on Dec 2014. In 4 years we've had, among others:
- Multi crew
- Planetary landings
- Engineers
- Guardian and Tharghoid story
- New ships
- New planet surfaces
- And much much more all detailed on the patch notes: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumdisplay.php/74-Patch-Notes
Cost of the above: $0, apart from the cost of the Horizons, for the Horizons only content (which is like half a plot of land in SC).

On the other hand SC came out a year earlier, August 2013
Of note, they have released:
- A $27.000 pack (real money)
- A new $900 ship (real money)
- $50 plots of land (real money)
