Just saw Dusty playing! It's happening!

I'll be buying a package tomorrow.

I just got on it. It's ok in arcade mode but with no hotas support it's tough to play in any other mode... Realistic mode with full engine control etc. is nigh on impossible due to the lack of buttons and axes.

Agreed. I admit that I really got caught up with the hype. Too late now.

Nah', I'm going to make the best of it and focus on arcade for now.

What package did you get? I ended up getting the advanced bundle because I really wanted the Corsair.

I was gonna look into getting it but it doesn't support HOTAS so I'm gonna hold off for a while.

Isn't this like World of Tanks but with airplanes and ships too?
If that's the case then no thank you.

It’s more realistic, more so in realistic battles, you can one shot tanks if you know your stuff, unless you eye ball a target you won’t see it, it’s not the invisible tank wargaming do it’s just unless you spot it at a 1000yrds with mark one eye ball you won’t know he is there , he’s Is rendered and visisable but you haven’t spotted that patch of pixels yet. Look at phlydayly on you tube it should show you what the plays like. I not played in ages as the old computer couldn’t run it properly so may consider it in the console

flying planes with a controller was hard then i remaped it and its better however im terrible with the aiming side of things however with the tanks thats a different story, coming out of matches with 8 kills and a range of clips, war thunder is fun but ragey if your not in the right mood.

Steep learning curve to the planes. I'm literally years out of practice. I know I have the ability though. I just need to find it again.

You can feel/see its a straight port form PC to Xbox atm. This is why its in early access i think. See it as a paid beta test.

Lots of potential, but as for now, its totally unbalanced. PC players are simply owning us console players. there is NO way of winning. Also, there are already reports of cheaters on the PC side.

And since we can only play crossplay in most of the modes, this sometimes can be frustrating as hell.

This game needs work, i hope the devs are not lazy, and want to give us the best experience possible. Otherwise it will be a hit'n'miss.

my problem with this game is the players, here my typical match which to be honest is putting me off the game, match starts and within ten seconds the enemy team has captured 2 out of three objectives, once our team starts rushing in we get picked off as a result half of our team gone and they win, the enemy tanks know exactly where I am which p,ss me off. I want a mode where there is no flags just tanks on tanks, as for the planes I cant kill anything which I have given up on.

Cheating in War thunder?...Never [haha]

I did have a few games a while back since it had tanks and planes and stuff... but was totally amazed at how many rail cheats, no clip hacks and general cheating there was on the PC side. I say amazed, but only at how apparently lax the devs and server moderators were at rooting that nonsense out.

Not a bad game, could have been good...ruined by cheaters and trolls. It's almost as notorious as CSGO for the sheer amount of blatant cheatery...
