That Krait cockpit in VR tho...

If FD where to sell a "polish and cable management" pack.
I would pay $5 for that.

If it would allow me to turn off all the lights.
I'd pay $15.

Oooh, a weapon combo to try on the Krait.

3 fixed beams on class 3's and class 2 gaurdian gauss cannons on the class 2 slots.
Very satisfiying view when the cannons go off and oh so deadly.

Sure they are not small, but in this game, and I'm being purely semantic here, when compared to the class 4 guns, class 2's aren't quite massive.

Currently rocking fixed beams on all hardpoints on mine, but I'm tempted to either go multi's on the class 2 for fun, or even more fun, pop in the packhounds :p

I think I can safely say that class 4 weapons are gargantuan, class 3 are mahoosive and class 2 are massive.

I have at the moment 2 class 3 multicannons, 1 class 3 beam and 2 class 2 beams. Still experimenting though.

Ok that's a description I can agree with.

I can recommend trying the guass cannons if you get them.
They look seriously wicked from the Kraiit cockpit and the fixed beams work like laser pointers.
So you can nail pretty much every cannon shot.

Only tested shortly but it was a two second burst of the lasers and blap. Cobra gone.

I was also running the exact same as you, 2 class 3 multi's, 1 c3 beam and two c2 beams.
A very effective combo, but I felt the need to experiment.
And with that tight grouping I decided first to try fixed beams.

Actually managed to get all five beams modded to lvl 5 efficient with thermal vent apart from the center top, which I put regen on.

i have not tried the krait yet.... can the distributer manage that load all going full chat? what about heat?

Not to forget the 2 white lights in front of you don't burn your eyes in VR. VR-first design, it seems :D

Too bad I can't read that sign properly, for the cable is too short. Same is true for the Galnet screen at the back, all I can decipher is something like 'Most wanted criminals". I'm convinced there are some cool easter eggs hidden in the messages there, too.

It's the exact same internals as the Python, so class 7 power plant and distributor.
And yes. In fact I think I can perma fire the c3 beams with four pips to wep, granted the PD was taken off my python, and so also modded.

No problem, but of course efficient beams and with heat vent doesn't hurt.
After getting the gauss cannons I also needed to mod the power plant to OC 5, but no heat issues, even when scooping at max rate for an extended time.

I haven't noticed the white lights at all, but in the rift I have the UI brghtness turned down very low to avoid the god rays. Maybe that helps.

Pretty much the largest difference is the Kraiit has a class 6 optional less, and can use fighters.
It is also slightly faster, and has about a ly more in base jump range, a smidge more pitch and yaw as well.

Weapon grouping is also very tight, for instance I can fire all five lasers and hit a cobra with no frustration.

My, and i assume everyone else's Krait Cockpit, is not finished. I mean come on DeLacy, 40+ mill for this ship and you are using Electrical tape to secure wires to baulkheads? Cable laying all over the floor?? (No H&S in 3302 or what ever date it is? Tripping Hazard??), i have a red cable coming out of the right floor grill?? Red is Live, so lordy Lordy a live cable open ended on the floor?? You trying to kill me DeLacy, i mean as if there aren't enough griefers in the universe to do that, i have you trying to Electrocute me.

Can i bring it back to a DeLacy service centre to be finished off please, with a complimentary Wax and Polish for my trouble??

I was worried that the Krait might mean we never ever get a decent medium sized Gutamaya, but well, thank god for electrical tape and panel fit issues. Hopefully we can still have a decent medium sized ship for people with OCD!
