Fiction Fantastic Elite Fiction: paperback editions release date?

Hi there,

I pledged for the paperback editions of the 5 books of Fantastic Elite Fiction. I am not interested in pdf or electronic versions, hence my pledge for the paperback editions. I have been trying to find out when these are released, but am having a hard time getting an answer. The original date was april 2014 I believe.

In newsletter 33 I read:

FantastiCon is a new sci-fi convention bringing together Elite fans from around the world. It will feature Elite: Dangerous on the Oculus Rift, book signings... It is being held in Hull on Saturday 16th August...

So by the 16th of august there must at least be printed editions available of some of the Elite books. Are these hardback editions? Or paperback?

Did anyone receive their paperback editions yet? Any idea when these will be shipped?

Thanks in advance.

No, no-one (including us) has seen the physical paperback or hardback editions yet. I can tell you the typeface has been finalised for E: LR and I expect the other books are at a similar stage.

We want you to have them as soon as possible, so as soon as we know, you will know.

Not yet. But the first complete audio short story from Tales from the Frontier was premièred at Fantasticon.

The next priority will be getting print books to people who have purchased them, whilst Chris continues the mammoth task of finishing the audio stories.

Hi: anyword on the release date for the mp3 audio books?

Chris Jarvis says he hopes to have them ready by Christmas. It's a huge job, so will take quite some time to perfect. The quality is going to be insane though :) It'll blow all other audiobooks out of the water!

Pre-orders for paper and hardbacks should winging their way to buyers very shortly, and you can buy them from the Fantastic Books Store right now. The quality of the hardbacks in particular is insanely nice:

And here's how the spines line up on the paperback:

Can anyone name that ship? ;)

Hi: anyword on the release date for the mp3 audio books?

At FantastiCon we were told that only one story (the first one) from the anthology was complete and they were expecting them all to be done by Christmas (hopefully the same time when the game is released).

Any idea when the softcover editions will be sent out to the backers?

I've read many reviews of the books in the ED newsletters and would like to start reading.

I have messaged all backers who have requested physical copies from me for their address details. If you were on that list, please reply and I'll try to get things in the post ASAP.
