Guardian site HD 63154

I understand that the guardian sites are perhaps meant to be a little inaccessible but I've been trying to land somewhere near the site for 15 minutes now and it just seems impossible!

Why is there nowhere to land!!!!!

GGGRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

This. Tried for an additional 30+ mins after that 140k ls journey and even started swearing. The only spot I found for my AspX was right on the edge of the site, "north east" if you will, with the valley to the right and this long Guardian "marble run" behind me. Try to fly as close to the ground as possible and if it ever briefly turns blue, stick to it.

And beware of these, there are up to 3 around at the same time. Problem is the SRV won't deploy its turret close to the ship and all.

When I returned home, first thing I did was retrofitting my DBX taxi, the structures are much easier to land at with this.

That site is HORRIBLE! I flew out there in my AspX and I could not find anywhere to land within a reasonable distance. Later after dismissing my ship, even the AI could not land to pick me up. I had to send the ship back into space twice, and move to another location to try again before it finally managed to touch down on the third attempt.

WHY? Why put a mission location into such an uneven terrain area when we all know the landing system has problems with such terrain?

Really took all the fun out of that site for me. Since I had no ship nearby to shuffle relics back and forth, I cut my trip short and headed home. The other two sites and the ruins sites were more accessible, but I found much of it to be bugged and tedious.

I doubt I will be revisiting any of those locations again, or bothering with the Guardian weapons crap. Too much grind, too many bugs, too many stupid design decisions like the terrain conditions around this particular mission site.

No thanks. Not fun. Not quality gameplay. Just frustration and repetition.

My first trip out to the Guardians I had my Asp X. My second (and all subsequent trips) I used/will use my DBX.

Lesson learned about ANYTHING related to finding mission-related stuff on planetary surfaces. I'm sure the devs get a good chuckle out of designing these sites and putting them 750KLs away from entry :p

First time I went there I made the foolish mistake of taking the conda and had to park what felt like 2 planets away. Asp can be sat down pretty much on site with some slow manuevering. Don't forget your sky rockets.

I parked my ASP at 40.8077, -106.5254, facing 275°
It's a tiny spot, but only 600 meters from the ruins, I think. Didn't find anything closer
