Still got plenty of exploring and crashing to do, but to keep the idle speculation going...

Most of the big updates i.e. Alphas, Premium Beta 1 and 2, and the Beta have all been about a month apart. Since the last update was on July 29 I would have to guess that Beta 2 will happen sometime around the end of this month or start of September.
Ehm...your getting a DK2...all you need to do is start up the game and put on the Rift...you'll be sitting for hours just looking at the cockpit around you.

Yeah it's great to see that they're making progress on the server side, will be interesting to see how much and of what they can add or tweak without client updates.
On the other hand, it would be nice if there were some more specific announcements when this stuff was being done, unless I'm just not paying attention or missing them.
ED in the DK2 is anything but boring. You'll fly just for the pure joy of flying, and taking in all those beautiful sights. Its like a completely different experience.
Apart from going into a ring system, which currently looks total rubbish (compared to PB).
Hopefully FD will get that fixed pretty soon though.
Need SDK 0.4.1 in the next release.

Michael said that they had issues with it and that's why it wasn't supported in SB1 and it's hotfixes. It will be in SB2 most likely.
