Im pushing back the date of this untill September 9th to accomdate more commanders.

I havent been able to spend much time recruiting in game this week but willl get back to that starting this weeked!

Description:

With the distant worlds expeditions and bucky ball racing club having their big events i was wondering :

Lets try organise a huge battle.

A free for all OR Teams OR Factions. Royal Rumble..anything goes you name it.

Id like to put out the call for all you pvpers out there, legit friendlies as well as all you gankers..lets organise the biggest battle elite has ever seen.

I dont care if other groups have tried this. Im not a part of any offical group as i dont like the dictatorish nature of most groups.

But you there, lowley pilot.. lets get as many names as we can here on this thread, then lets just pick a place and time.

Im not interested in hearing why this wont work..


i just want the names for now. We will get into the finer details/potential issues and solutions later.

And anyone who wants to come is welcome.

Ill be using this forum as well as in game recruitment. So if you see a name here youre not familliar with, they were recruited in game.

This is for PC players.

Details:

Ship Type: Any
Date/time: Sunday, 2nd September (TIME: TBA) THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE TO ACCOMODATE PILOTS
PVP
Royal Rumble - but semi allegianced are allowed. However there can be only one winner. Last man standing.
Reward:
Bragging rights and 5 million credits worth of Gold as a Bonus.

Once we have enough players a private group will be created and the event will be recorded.

Many probably read your responses to a legitimate question in your short-lived "Another one bites the dust" thread....hence, zero responses!

NB: Don't worry, this is not a passive-aggressive sarcastic post - you probably "don't care" anyway [big grin] - 'just reverse psychology for those forum members who react in a "Oh yeah?! I'll show that smart-@55!" type way to give this thread a much needed boost!

NB1: Oh dear - my knowing reference to the aforementioned psychological technique might have just negated the intended effect?!

NB2: Hmmm! Now I'm really confused whether this post will help or hinder your thread. Oh well, it's the thought that counts, right?

Anyhue..if i dont get any responses..i think ill assume its that the people that read it just dont wanna pvp..i think that its highly more likely the reason ...but if the people that read a previous , unrelated thread take that as a reason to not reply to this one (all 4 trolls that were present over yonder)..i dont want to play this game with those particular people anyway. So its a win win really. All that said:

PLease try stay on topic.

It would help if you specified the platform you are on, OP.

On Xbox, I get people together once a week for PvP events, although participation varies. The biggest issue is schedules IRL. Families, work, stuff like that.

Appreciate the info.

Looks like they arrange pvp duels and arranged fights. I dont see any mentions of arranging a huge large scale battle tho.

Maybe i missed that?

Maybe, just maybe, the PVP hub would be the place to find larger groups to do PVP with, you think?

Are you aligned with a player group?
There are group battles pretty frequently.

Also, have you used the wing mechanic before?

There are some practical limitations.

If you're not part of a group, who are you going to fight with?

You don't seem to be attracting many potential teammates here.

That's not a very logical way to go about things.

There's plenty of PVP around, should you actually want to fight instead of theory-crafting stuff that won't work.

gonna have to block you Bob. As you never contribute anything positive to anything i post and you seem a bit obsessed with my posts.

Side note...if no one wants to thats actually fine. Im just trying something new and wont take offense if this doesnt become a runner.

Im also not expecting this to fill up with names in the 2 hours or so the thread has existed OR deme the idea a failure for the same reason already... - im not that silly :)

This will deffo be a slow burn and ill be keeping an eyeon the thread.

I don't know how big a bash you were expecting, but there are limitations as Bob stated. It would be nice if you acknowledged those instead of just looking for sign-ups.
1. 32 CMDRs per instance (battle royal?)
2. 4v4 wing battle?
3. Player group commitments. I already signed up to help my player group this week/weekend
4. RL commitments. Next week is a possibility for me, BUT... our grandchild is due starting that week so who knows if I'll even be online.

With the above caveats/questions, sure put my name down: Krash Megiddo
