This sounds awesome, I'd like to come!

Quick question though - the above doesn't specify exactly where Gnosis will jump when it leaves Cone Sector, but it sounds like we'd be coming out rimward into the Orio-Persus Gap. Newbie explorer here, only been a few hundred LY from the bubble so far. Would you foresee any serious trouble getting back to civilization from there? My exploration T6 can do about 40 LY, so I should be okay on range, but any gotchas I should keep in mind?

There will likely be multiple CMDRs making their way back. Me for one (unless I keep Azzie on the Gnosis and get a third account for the Bubble in the Black Friday sale). I can only imagine three things to look out for:
- don't crash into anything too much. Emergency stops damage the power plant, and that one can't be repaired in flight.
- be careful when you return to civilization in open. Any cartographic data you have when you are killed is lost.
- similarly, don't carry any cargo (limpets might be ok, but nothing else) or you will have to fend off NPC pirates.

Since you fly an exploration T6, I assume you are familiar with fuel scoops, KGB FOAM, Jumponium and perhaps Neutron boosting.

Just head back to the bubble in solo or private mode,or wing me and I’ll protect you in my fully engineerd battleconda (Xbox) o7

Prediction:

The reason it will be there for 4 weeks is because something will prevent it from leaping back after 1 week. Perhaps an attack or something. We might have to repair it somehow.

Any miners bringing mining equipment?

Errrm, nope. Reason it's there for 4 weeks : because Canonn asked for it to be there for 4 weeks. That way people get a chance to get out, stretch their legs, work on their tans, before heading out further. Don't believe the hype ;)

Dagsnabbit! I fall for taking intel missions to Deriso (near to Colonia) and to paraphrase the Statham, once you take the deal, you don't alter the deal.
So I thought, I'll take my time wending my way back to TZ Arietis, take in the sights... oooh nooo. Spot a Gnosis post via a re-tweet thanks to CMDR_F99.
So now I'm jonking it like crazy to get back in time to join in. My DBX won't have any cargo space unless I lose the AMFU... which I'm too fond of, but we'll see what we can find.

:D

Hmmm. I've been out of the game since just before 3.0 dropped, and I've been wondering what would pull me back in.

This may well be it.

Are we there yet?

Almost.

Nice parking spot...

Just for the record:
I had the route plotting issues to Outotz ST-I d9-4 as well. I could plot a route to the proximity (about 1300 Ly from Merope) but not to the system in question or the surrounding systems. I didn't have much time for an in depth analysis, but it was not due to filtrs set in the galmap. Ship in use was a 50 Ly 'conda, so that shouldn't be the cause.

Attention all explorers

The Gnosis is planning a jump through a permit locked area of space to reach the "CONE Sector"
This is a relativity pristine area of space, and the Gnosis will be on station for 4 weeks ONLY
.
YOU MUST be aboard and docked within the Gnosis to make the jump. and you MUST be aboard to get out of the Zone!
.
This is a rare opportunity to scan and bag new Systems and Planets.

Where's it going after the Cone?

"Once the Gnosis exits the permit locked system, she will be heading towards "The Rift" for an extended deep space voyage"

Hmmm, so I guess those who don't have lots of jumponium on hand will be spending time in the bar...and casino (maybe the lab, if we can find our way past the bar. [big grin]

I guess we're all going to be bozos on this bus. Thank God for the cookies I brought.

Thanks for the reply! Doesn't sound like anything I haven't encountered already then, although having some company on the way back to civilization might be fun. I think I read somewhere that the Gnosis has a cartography contact (please correct me if I'm wrong!) so I suppose we'll all sell those irreplaceable Cone Sector discoveries straight away.

Except neutron boosting - haven't done one of those yet. Guess I can get in some practice on my way out to meet the Gnosis.

Fun fact - years back I taught intro astronomy to college students, so seeing KGB FOAM instead of OBAFGKM always gives me little flashbacks of scolding the kids for learning their spectral classes in the wrong temperature order. :p
