Community Event / Creation ***Attention Explorers*** GNOSIS Jumps planned THROUGH a permit Lock !

You can choose to start in a free sidewinder, instead of rebuying your ship after face planting a star.

Although - IF it did end up something I wanted to do - might also consider gaining a bounty, for 'exploring' the detention centre. (Anyone know how that goes? I've got no idea at all).

How the hell you want to aquire a bounty in anarchy system?

You would have to jump with it to the restricted sector while already having bounty in Canonn faction so you can turn yourself in later.

Shoot the Gnosis?

Wouldn't that be just a fine then?
I thought getting bounty in systems without security is technically impossible.

Even if true then most commanders will use this to go back home in days after arriving when they find out the area is just a waste of time.

A quick PSA folks - this expedition has clearly attracted considerable interest, and the last few nights I've logged in, the Gnosis landing pads have been quite busy in Open mode. In fact, there has usually been at least one Commander waiting for a medium pad to open up. (Gonna be a lot of Kraits out there!) So A) let's keep those pads moving! Please log off or switch to solo if you're going afk or fiddling with station services. And B) don't hesitate to remind pilots stuck waiting to dock that they can always switch to solo to find an open pad.

Cheers!

Hopefully enough has been said, that what's more interesting here is the (permit) barrier and not the area of space particularly. "Might" test the crime thing later .. but not ready for anonymous access yet.

Good space for an audiobook though deep space, and this week R4 has a good one; Jaws by Peter Benchley
(still chilling. Even when you're chilling)

Ok, noob here apparently, read through the first 10 or so pages and didn't see it mentioned. How do we find The Gnosis? And once we do, it's just a matter of docking like any other station?

Look at the first post for the dates and star location.

The Gnosis will be on the Nav Panel once you are in the star system.

From that list:
23rd Week 4 HD 51502

Tomorrow the 23rd August (week 4 of tour) the Gnosis will jump to HD 51502 during the weekly maintenance.

Then request docking like normal and land.

Perfect. Thanks!

I'm going to try and make it with my deleted XBOX account, I will start as new commander so I have 14hrs to get my sidewinder functional for exploring and onboard the Gnosis - wish me luck!

I was thinking about doing the same thing but with a new PC account. It would be a great way to get some early exploration cash. But I wanted to wait until the game went on sale before plopping down for it again. Also, after two years on XBox, starting over from scratch might be too much!

Quick question, as I've seen this come up a couple of times. Permit locks were not always a thing? I did not know this. So, while the Cone Sector is relatively obscure and off the beaten path...given that there is a nebula there and given that nebulas attract explorers...is there a possibility, however small, that we get there and the things have been already tagged and explored by pre-permit lock CMDR's?

Yes - see the circle in the middle of the image:
