Community Event / Creation ***Attention Explorers*** GNOSIS Jumps planned THROUGH a permit Lock !

Funny, I just did the same thing tonight! As for the heat, I don't know, but I'd guess that modern engineered ships just run cooler than what the explorers of yore used? The T6 is notorious for running hot, but mine has Clean drives and a Low Emissions power plant and didn't exceed 70% heat on my visit.

Nice find on the way back too. Discovered a perfect Mars analogue - terraformable red HMC with thin CO2, complete with a landable rocky moon to pose with!

That makes sense. My Aspx never seems to get much heat up anywhere. I'd be interested to know if ships generally run cooler now than they did three years ago - or if maybe certain ships (big ones perhaps?) are more likely to be prone to bother than something like an Aspx, engineering or no.

You know what ... al these people saying "I'm on board" made me think ... now THIS is where a space bar and space legs would REALLY come into its own. I never really cared much for space legs before but if everyone here was milling around in the bar area having this discussion ... yeah, OK .... that WOULD be cool

Well it's not a bar, but we did try to get an SRV party going last night on the planet below Gnosis. We just gathered at the north pole. Anyone know if there are any interesting geology features worth meeting up at?

Huh. Found some untagged bodies only a few hundred Ly from where the Gnosis parked. I'm not terribly concerned with tagging myself (although I am going over to scan them, might as well), but this might be relevant to those who are concerned that everything has already been 'claimed' and don't see the point of going anywhere if they can't plant their flag. Nope.

I travelled to the Gnosis today and also found quite a few untagged bodies. I would tag just one then move on. I still got several first discoveries upon arrival. I'm in my Cobra MKIII so don't have a great jump range, took me 42 jumps to get here so I did visit quite a few systems.

When The Gnosis starts jumping to not-permitted deep space?

Thursday September 6th. You'll need to be onboard by the Wednesday night. That week, it'll be parked at Outotz ST-I d9-4 - it's at HD 51502 until 30th August.

(Although, strictly speaking, the place it's going to isn't permit locked, it's just behind a previously-unbreachable wall of locked systems. The Gnosis is going to jump over the locked systems, using its huge range.)

Oh, thank you very much o7

I'm stuck at Wregoe RS-T C3-0 because my galaxy map refuses to plot a course even if a system is virtually next door. Is this a bug, or what..?

Nah, your route is passing through permit locked systems. I had the same issue had to run some smaller plots to get up to the galactic plane of the genosis location then come back along, little bit annoying but not too bad, i went through the wregoe sector as well.

Will we be able to see it jump or will it happen during downtime? Trying to decide whether to bring my long range aspx or my heavy combat conda, cause you never know whats out there.

Just arrived. :)
Will the Gnosis need refuelling/resupplying on this trip? Should I summon some mining equipment or anything?
