I have less and less compassion for Americans.
The majority wants to play cowboys and drink in the saloons.

I just realised that this is quite possibly going to be used by the media to shove the "video games make killers" agenda down the population's throat.

This is virtually the definition of an irrational fear, unless you're afraid the prevalence of firearms will make it too tempting to shoot one's self.
Non-self inflicted gunshot wounds among people who aren't members of oppressed minorities are extremely rare. As a tourist, the odds of being shot are so low they should barely even register as a risk. Most violent crime against tourists is sensationalized even more than the norm, now think about how many cases you hear about relative to the ~70 million tourists visiting the US each year.
And this is a gross over generalization, if not pure fallacy.
Ah, I guess that explains the mass-murder taking place. Look, people in the US are getting shot en masse while going to school, church, concerts, gaming events, whatever. Clearly it is not about 'a feud about a crappy game', but something else. Oh boy, I wonder what it is!
Sure. But if you were to ask a random person "during a gaming event a dude goes wild and kills a bunch of people; in which country did this happen?" 99% of people would say "The USA" without any hesitation. And that is not without reason.

This fear cannot be called, 'irrational'.
More guns than people. More citizens killed on home soil, than most wars across the planet; for the last few decades. Lots of talk about how; 'this must be stopped' and 'it's a time to change'. Just talk, while the situation gets worse.

I get your point about "something else" but I was talking about the suspects motive and the shooting was at that specific location for a reason which could possibly be about some fued on a video game. The first responders aren't thinking about politics during this ongoing investigation unlike some people

It's a small percentage of cities/counties that really drive up our murder rate.
~2% of counties have over half of the murders.
~ 50% of counties have no murders at all.
Around 6-7% are in Chicago alone.

US violent crimes are at a historically low rate right now, lower than at any time since around the late 1960s.
I don't care much for what random people think, they are by and large, idiots
Not to mention the US is a large country and every state is very different from each other.
