...uninstalled it 30 minutes later. I listened to the advert preview and it sounded quite good...a nice change to the default.

It took me 30 minutes to realise that she's a strangely-accented version of the Talky Toaster from Red Dwarf.

Ho hum :)


Can we have Zen from Blake's 7 please?

Victor irks me.

Every time he says "Fuel Scooping" it seems to sound like "Fee-yoo-ool scooping" [where is it]

On the bright side, I like to pretend Celeste is Curie out of Fallout 4. :eek:

Going back to the OP, I think I'd prefer ORAC to Zen, just for the yucks.

I liked Victor (the free one) but haven’t clicked with any of the others. In any case I have switched off the COVAS system in favour of the voice packs.

You should try Celeste first. Seems that Celeste does not like limpets, scooping and jumps.
Alix after Celeste is just perfect. Very neutral.

Thanks, but I've gone back to Verity for now. Celeste is a bit too French* for my liking.





(*I'm not having a pop at the French, incidentally)

Imagine if he incorrectly quoted the penal code every time you deployed hardpoints, and your Holly voice pack (did exist) says "while it is definitely not acceptable to eat custard trifle in the engine room, I think we should probably focus on the ships shooting at us'. I'd love it.

Edit : I was also super disappointed that the voice pack by the actor who plays Q is a foul mouth. If he had been actually q (yeh, I know, licensing) that would be awesome. 'ah, typical underdeveloped apes, when faced with the unknown you get your pew pew toys out, how primitive....'

I only have her on my Conda, and I forgot about it, then one day I hop back in the cockpit and I'm pleasantly surprised by my sexy-sounding ship.

I can already tell you, I'm going to buy every voice pack they make. It really gives a ship a personality. I wonder how much it costs FDev to make them.
