News Focused Feedback Forum Content Schedule

My family went to San Tropez without me so I could go to Cologne. You could have gone, you were just not as motivated as me. To be fair I have been to San Tropez loads of times (we have a chalet there), I've not been to Cologne before and I like driving.

My family is my partner and my son and I am the only driver. If I didn't go, neither would they. I would come back to find my clothes out on the street.

It's not about motivation it's about survival.

So...3 weeks since Ed posted about the exploration coming "soon" and still waiting for the never happening FFF :D

Chapter 4 is coming out in around 3 months...wouldn't it be kind of pointless to do the FFF at this stage ?

Same goes for the fleet carriers FFF that was supposed to happen... :S

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed. This focused feedback concept seemed really promising in the beginning.

It was a great concept, but lacked follow through on Frontiers part. I wish they had committed to it in a more serious fashion.

Its way too late for it. There never was a discussion, and it is far too late to begin designing stuff for Q4 by now.

It was X months ago too... Other than pointing out a few wrinckles, or suggesting small niceties, it was always going to be pretty pointless given the time scales surely?

Take my passion for my X years old plee for stateful hot spots - my signature's sole purpose now - and I'm still waiting months and months on to find out what FD plan with their "Hot Spots"... How are we suppose to make any suggestions/requests with just a few months left now?

As always when it touch to communication with FDev :(

I get it, you're working hard on your games, PAX West is coming, you had 3.2 launch this week and it's "[...] just the nature of game development, community management and game publishing all wrapped up in a nice complicated (but ultimately wonderful!) little package." (quote from Ed)...but still...

...you promise something that your player base is very enthousiatic about and want to take part in and then you postpone for months...and each time we have to ask / beg for weeks before having an answer (Soon)...the FFF exploration / Codex sounds like a joke right now [yesnod]

Exploration / Codex was THE big subject for a lot of CMDRs around here...I have no doubt that you'll deliver something sharp and nice in chapter 4 but would have loved to know more and take part to the FFF as it was planned...

At the moment I still think a focus feedback forum for exploration is still going to turn up. If it wasn't they would have just said so by now.

Whether it's gives them enough time to put any minor changes in due to the feedback is another question.

I don't see the point to go through the whole FFF process if they won't use our feedbacks because of the lack of time.

In that case they could only do a stream like the Lavecon recap explaining the exploration / CODEX mechanics with some video / screenshots.

(It's my opinion...perhaps I'm wrong and FDev will still be able to deliver chapter 4 using our feedbacks since they are mainly focusing on this chapter since 3.1 & 3.2 are out but still...3 months looks short for me !)

Surely that depends on the feedback and what they want us to feedback on. There is nothing to suggest they don't have the time yet. Sure if it's a few weeks then yes it will be pointless. A few months though will give them time to look through any feedback and do any fine tuning that the focus feedback will be for.

Remember it is not for getting your own personal mechanics implemented. It's there just to fine tune what FDev intend to implement. I think people seem to forget this.

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed. This focused feedback concept seemed really promising in the beginning.

As was the DDF, and people paid £350 for that.

Most likely they're not posting it because they know that nothing anyone here can say will change what they have planned, so why open themselves up again...

Design forum. Early backers could pay extra to contribute towards design discussions.

It included many features we're still waiting for.

Eg: NPC wingman you can give simple tactical commands to were in there. We can only imagine how that would be had CQC been a development in the core game. Right now we could be undertaking missions to holo-me into fighters at a capital ship, to escort a convoy of ships through an asteroid field. You'll come under attack from thargoid scouts but your NPC wingman who you can give commands to will help...

If only...

I hope they turn that around, but yeah....
I'm guessing FDev is getting tired of all the ing and moaning the vocal minority continues to burp out. I know I would. Seriously tho, to me it looked like they have their hands full with implementing their initial exploration concepts. To add more FFF content would probably cause them to miss the Q4 release window. And if THAT happened...well you'd have people writing notes to FDev saying goodbye, and how disappointed they are:rolleyes:

The FFF was Frontier's idea, and it was a good one, so I think some moaning is justified when they fail to follow through with it. It isn't like major changes are made as a result of FFF feedback anyway, it's more for minor tweaks and generally just letting us know what they're planning.
