Horizons Federal Navy Strike Contract - kills not registering.

Yesterday i accepted this mission to rankup my pilot, it told me to head to LTT 779 and kill 'LTT 779 Purple Comorra faction' pirates
in any beacon, haz, or other anomily.. So i went to the nearest Haz which was 12k Ls away, farmed 'Comorra' pirates (mission targets)
for 30 minutes, not one kill registered towards my 0/24 kills for the strike mission.

It then showed the planet at 340k Ls away as target so i went there, killed killed the few i found around the gas giant, nothing registered,
i then did a scan sweep with my infini-scanner and the "mission marker" jumped to the A-star.. so i traveled back, and didn't see a single
"mission target source" around the sun despite several lapses.. Then suddenly the "mission Marker" jumped back to the gas giant 340K Ls away.... :mad::mad:

So i gave up.. relogged into solo mode, hoping that would fix it. Went back to the haz at 12K Ls and farmed for another 30 minutes,
not a single kill registered.

I need to complete this darn mission to rankup my fed-rank, and it expires in 20 hours.

The game has been out for 6 years and these missions STILL aren't working properly ?.

I hate to say this, but stacking a load of data delivery missions will likely increase your rank faster.

I think these missions are bugged. I think it would be better to abandon it, then wait for a federal Navy data delivery mission. keep doing the other federation missions because they still contribute the same amount to your next rank, i.e you could be 100% complete on the next rank as soon as you get that rank.
