Anyone been able to get their Windows 10 XBox One app or SmartGlass app to be able to cut and paste into the XBox One Elite Dangerous?

I play Elite Dangerous on all platforms, but at the moment I want to make entering large systems names on the XBox One easier.

I had the pasting of systems names from my PC working last night and then it stopped.

Any help from someone whos done it would be great! Any other solutions which work better are appreciated.

I'm sure I'm am connected by wifi but not sure the route it's taking. What setting are you referring to that I may need to change?

I looked for the settings location you mentioned, but I'm not sure where "console then connect" is. Are you referring to a setting in the smartglass app? I'm using the "XBox One Smartglass" app according to its title instead of the older one.

Today I've been alternating between it and the Windows 10 XBox app which is the one whos copy/paste worked briefly for me yesterday.

More information:

On the PC using either the Xbox app or the smartglass app I can see that the connection to the XBox One is being made.

The XBox One app is working to a greater degree in that it shows on the PC when I get in and out of a game on the XBox and the software controller in the app will in some cases cause expected things to happen in the XBox as if I have pushed the physical controller's buttons.

When I tested this XBox app connection last night before bed, it did these same things but the copy/paste functionality was also working. Last night, every time I would bring up the soft keyboard on the XBox One screen, I would also get an entry field on the PC's XBox app allowing me to paste into the XBox's field. This was really exciting because it was going to save me a bunch of time entering system names into the gallaxy map. Today I have not received that entry field on the PC, so the pasting has not been working at all.

I use the mobile app so I cant help with the pc app.
Once you are connected between your xbx and app,
Go to console
Connect to your xbox- ur xbx does have to be setup for this as well i think? Its been awhile since ive done that part.
Once everythings been conected look for a remote icon at the bottom corner.

I figured out what the problem was. Apparently in the latest XBox One update a latent bug was introduced that will cause the keyboard and copy/paste functionality to stop working until the XBox One gets a HARD reboot. Once I did this the functionality started working again.
