General / Off-Topic Frontier feature In The Edge . A magazine covering video games related news that you have to pay for

Possibility to have a free link on this article ?

:)

If the web had never been invented what would you do?

Its published in a physical magazine that has a cover that sits on shelf in a shop that no one buys stuff from. So I think they make a point of then not putting the same information on the web for 'free' there is a digital subscription

But the answer to the op is either Yes or No.

Here physical newspaper also have a cover price and some a paywall too.

? Posting links is all I do and I get criticised. Well if you don't know what the Edge is or the article then you didn't reading so stop trolling me.

The post is deliberately constructed to smoke out the non serious gamers..

Yes it does require you pay for it

Seriously what is going on.

would like to think my 40 years of gaming would at least get me close to being a serious gamer, I do however remember a magazine called The Edge or Edge from back in the day, never read it nor brought it mind you and have not looked at the magazine section of any shop for quite a few years now.

Why would I want to pay for something when I can get the same thing for free anywhere on the internet.

Yes and we already pay the monthly subscription to the internet. And expensive.

If in addition we have to pay the content ... (I'm talking about paid articles on the net).

ISPs must pay pennies to creators each time an paid article is read by an ISP customer. It would be a solution.

They have enough money all these thieves.

:)

Apparently I have heard in France there a 'company' where people 'work' but doent really produce anything and exist just so people can 'work' and not necessarily get paid for it. Have you heard of that?

Certainly of the voluntary work for humanitarian causes, generally

This particular setup act like therapy for individuals who don't have a real job, but they still undertake task. Which begs the question why not have actual companies..

Online video games would not exist, and therefore I would not buy magazines on the video games online

:p

Possibility to scan the article in PDF format and put it online for free ?

:D

Why would I do that? Ask Frontier to post the pdf article on there site.

Not content that appears behind a pay wall or physical magazine.

Often there is paid content on sites and you find other free content that talk about the same subject on other sites.

Of course it's not the same author but it's the same subject.

It's the same for the paper magazines.

We already had free articles on the net about Frontier's offices

Not going to quote them all but my point was, its a article about ED, and FD, and It would assume I have any interest in that past reading this forum, and watching OA from time to time, and that it was anything new that hasn't been said else where for free.

I was also pointing out the stupid remark about being a serious gamer, I buy a lot of books does that make me a serious reader, I also pay for Netflix, HBO (when GOT is on) does that make me a serious watcher or just a norm like anyone else who plays along with the whole consumer and supplier merry go around.

My lecturer at University had a tendency to say that 'For the serious student' they could look at xyz for extra material. Which would always get you a higher grade if you did.

This explains a lot.
[haha] Obviously, you have no sense of humour. :p

I loathe people explaining things extremely superfluously, or not at all, and posting a video where whatever they were trying to tell is explained. If you want to explain something, write (or at least link) text so I can read what you're on to, dammit!
