Why are you the way that you are. Yes. Also left and right menu items becoming un-aligned at random. It's like they do this on purpose, just to turn the screw a bit more.
 
As someone who works with all sorts of legacy display hardware embodying some of the most heinous of UI inconsistencies, I've long been conditioned to ignore things this trivial otherwise I'd go loopy.

The one thing that did used to drive me to distraction on long exploration trips was the fact that the jump drive would engage and "lock on" to the target system when it wasn't quite pointed directly at the destination. It was like a splinter in my soul every time I looked at it. I'd even headcanoned a solution of sorts, assuming that the hyperspace pseudo-trajectory was a gentle curve rather than a straight line, to explain why the arriving ship wasn't several parsecs away from where it was supposed to be because of the offset.

Eventually FD addressed this with the mechanism that automatically aligns with the destination when the trajectory is close enough. The relief was almost palpable. And yet some players complained that they didn't feel in full control of their ship any more. Astonishing from my perspective, but then it's great that we're all different. IDIC and all that.

So yeah, a bit of text a few pixels to the right? I hadn't even noticed it before, and I guarantee it won't bother me now. But I feel great sympathy for anyone it does bother. Hopefully FD will fix it. Seems like an easy win.

It also relieved me greally when the ship finally aligned with the destination before the jump... It felt so wrong!

What about when after you had jumped and the next star in your planned route was behind you?
I could never explain away that to myself other than Lavian Brandy.
 
Have you ever played in VR?

F12 ... ok... no F12... just 1° more to the right... F12... oh no now it's even worse... F12... maybe now.....

It's the same for headtracking (non-VR) — possibly worse since it's more noticable when the center of camera view, doesn't match up with the center of monitor. :x

I'm glad you said that, I thought it was just me.

The text is off center. Look at the spacing to sides before and after the C and g.
