Fix the g5 99% roll bug/(feature?)

What, an attempt to remove those sadistic "nano-progression" rolls?

The ones that tell you "We have received your Grade 5 Data, Materials and Elements. Unfortunately, your lottery ticket did not win. Please try again. Thank you for using our Services!" ?

Awww.... They so belong to the Game and its Game Design :D

Seems that it depends on the upgraded module. Some g5 upgrades (like long scanner if I remember correctly) do require less rolls (4-5 vs 7-8-9-10) and do not have this feature.
So basically this looks like a feature.

would appreciate that vestige of RNG gone from this mechanism

static e.g.

1 roll g1
1 roll g2
2 roll g3
3 roll g4
5 roll g5

Fibonacci got ya covered imho

It takes from 5 to 7 rolls to complete to 98% a g5 engineer mod, but you often have to roll 3-4 more times to complete it to 100%.
3-4 roll's worth of materials for 1% is completely absurd, i'm sure it's super easy to fix this issue too so please, for the love of braben, do it!
LOL, youngsters whining about 11 rolls maximum to get perfect upgrade! [haha]

Don't you remember how it was before?
One could do over 100 G5 rolls & still not get very good results...

To be honest, he's more of pointing out a concern than complaining. Calling people youngsters is a very big assumption as well.

Getting more Quality of Life improvements is better than no improvements at all. After all, the game is improving anyway during development. If something doesn't seem to be balanced or something may be too hard/too easy, then the developers would test that area to ensure if it needs tweaking or not.

That's the point of reporting bugs or suggesting new ideas. It is to help guide the game on the right path for others to enjoy playing. Let them review the thread anyway to see what they think about it.
