In Station Casino/ Classic arcade Mini-Games

I know that this isn't a new idea, but many players sit in station pondering what they are going to do next. Why not make that time productive, while they let their subconcsious do the work?

I think it would be great to have a basic suite of in-game casino style mini-games to build up (or lose) cash reserves and take a little of the strain out of waiting for ships to be delivered, friends to come online or inspiration to arrive.

Some futuristic or contemporary versions of Roulette, blackjack / pontoon, poker etc would be great, but there could even be themed versions of classics such as asteroids or space-invaders with cash entry and rewards included.

I know some folk would hate this suggestion, but previous conversations I have had would suggest that these might well be useful stop-gaps.

At worst, it would provide another avenue of credit spinning to afford that all important rebuy or bounty payoff!

Hmm. I get the feeling you recently have played Rebel Galaxy Outlaw?
(And, the billard minigame there is actually quite good. So good that the wiki consider it necessary to explain that RGO actually is a space sim with a billard minigame and not the other way around. :D )

That being said, something like this could be the first tiny step to actually make Odyssey somewhat useful for me. (Yes, my expectations for that expansion are very low, and any info given up to now has not changed that. ) Some social space, preferably actually social and not a combat zone, could indeed be good for the game.
