Suddenly: Money

Hi all!

I took a short break from playing the beta the past 2 weeks. When I left the game the last time, I had approx 30-40k on my account. It wasn't a lot, but I earned most of it through bounty missions.

Ok, so today I lock back and did a double take; the amount of money on my account was suddenly at 200k. Maybe an error? I log out and back in again, but no, I still have 200k.

While I was out for 2 weeks, did I miss something? Did we get our trading taxes back? Was there a galactic lottery? Was I hacked in a most positive way?

I'm not complaining about free money, but I'm indeed the kind of guy that wants to earn it the hard way (bounty hunting!).

Does anyone of you perhaps know what happened here?

If the cash is mine to keep, I guess I'll just upgrade the weapons in my viper and carry on...

No, its not. I lost 160K and filed a ticket, so I guess you just found what is mine...

Seriously, I believe it had something to do with people being compensated for money they possibly could have lost to some sort of bug... more or less... So yeah, its yours. ;)

I feel sad.....lost loads of ships/money due to bugs.....never got a penny!

Guess your one of the lucky ones!

A week or two ago they had some issue and people lost a whole bunch of money due to some bug (sorry about the vagueness) but they apparently refunded a whole bunch of people that met whatever criteria they used and you just might be one of those.

Well, guess it seems I was lucky then!
Loads emone indeed. :)

Thanks, I'll go and put in a few bigger guns then to dispose of pirates and such more quickly.
