My family is camping today up in the mountains. I'm a reluctant participant, as I generally prefer running water, comfortable beds, and playing Elite in the evening rather than fighting to get a fire going and sleeping on rocks. Still I'm taking one for the team because my kiddo loves to camp and I'm trying to be a good dad. Lol.

(Speaking of my kid wants to bring like ALL of her stuffed animals... I told her two max. She is struggling to pick the two now, saying the others will feel abandoned. Lol. )

Anyway, hope I survive and see you all later. If I don't return tell TJ I blame him. :D

Yesh I don't know how much my 8 year old will be observing... more like climbing trees and terrorizing woodland critters. ;)

Well you might get to see a clear night sky undisturbed by the city light-pollution, the Milky Way in much of its glory. You can point out the stars you've 'visited' for your kid. Can you? :)

You only let her have TWO stuffed animals? SHEESH, I thought Sir TJ was mean. I mean it's not like you're traveling by plane with limited carrying space. Your daughter's other plushies will be so lonely without her...

By the way, it is impossible to 'terrorize' chipmunks. One can only serve them all sorts of nice things to eat whilst adoring those perky little ears, those delicate tiny paws, and of course, those magnificent cheek pouches.

And she was literally going to bring 20 stuffies. I mean, really.... I need room to pack the tent. I am driving a Hyundai, not a Hummer. :D

Carry On Camping has just finished on ITV3.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson are out in the countryside. Holmes asks Watson "What can you see?". Watson replies "I can see the stars, clouds, the Moon, and a lovely landscape". Holmes then asks "What does that mean?". Watson replies "It is a lovely evening, and all is well. Why, what does it men to you?". Holmes replies "Somebody has stolen our tent!".
