Does anyone remember when an Anaconda only cost two shillings and sixpence?

I certainly remember when you could pick up a free one from Hutton Orbital! :D

No, but seriously, I remember when you could fly round all the Sol stations, picking up Data Delivery missions to Hutton for several million credits each. Stacking 15 to 20 of them was no problem. Over the course of a week or two I easily made enough for an Annie, my first ever big ship! Wonder why you can't do that any more? *sigh*

btw I think this thread should be read with Dvorak's "New World" Symphony playing in the background. And perhaps a glass of Chateau de Chasselas to go with it.

I remember in beta how excited I was when I could finally afford to buy a Cobra. Seemed like I was rich beyond measure.

Ah no... it was more than 50 milion credits in less than 75 minutes...

I could afford my outfitted Anaconda with that.

So glad to have never played the 1984 version, FFE or whatever else came before this version, or I'd have likely given this a pass too.
