don't worry, next paid dlc will introduce something new that will make those modules obsolete.
(imo if you expect fair competitive gameplay in elite you got the wrong game anyway, but of course you're right to complain and wait i guess)

As I wrote approximately 2.8 times in this thread, I just don't get it why PAs haven't been balanced like rail guns, seeing that PAs are somewhat the PvP meta.
And again the only reason I see for defending this state is when people don't want to lose their precious advantage - as evident even in this thread.
(same with the c5 Cutter shields btw).

fair enough. i wish you good luck. ftr i don't have any of those modules (and although i get your point i don't really care much since i ruled out elite for pvp long ago). i'm just expecting the logical consequence that frontier will continue with their modus operandi, in one of the few aspects in which they are following well established patterns in the industry.
Gotta get invited to Frontier offices or get DJ Truthsayer/Obsidian Ant to talk about the problem in harsh tones and they'll fix it in a day. That's how rails were fixed.

Its the main reason i stopped pvp. I hope all those great warriors that kick behinds with their grandfathered focused plasmas feel good, but its not their fault ofc. Players will always use anything that is available. But using a meta that other people CAN'T have, thats pathetic. Its even worse than the premium ammo, that at least was available to anyone lol.

According to people in another thread on the front page, if they had labeled the grandfathered PAs as “exclusive limited-time content”, then everything would be okay and complaints would be invalid.
Grandfathered stuff will gradually disappear, you can't switch experimentals on them so they become more hassle than they are worth over time.
This...they really don't seem to care for balance, poor show in a MMO.
WRT PAs, I do not think they need a "stealth mode buff", they already have a unique benefit in that they are one of only a few (primarily) Absolute damage weapons which basically means resistance is mostly meaningless as a defence against them.
WRT Railguns, their heat reduction engineering effects are required to make them practical weapons to use IMO. Even then their effectiveness is offset by the hard imposed seconds of delay to individual shots.
WRT legacy engineered PAs, FD should just nerf them already - the new engineers have been out for long enough IMO.

You clearly have no idea what a maxed out fdl full of grand fathered focused plasmas with great heat reduction on all of them can do. But dont worry.. i have a strong feeling that even those that are developing this game, probably dont have a clue, just like you.
Maybe seeing it the same way FDEV does is the reason I enjoy the game and don't spend all my time whining about a few percentage points.
Perhaps FD should nerf the damage of legacy plasmas by reducing their damage in-line with their heat reduction then.
Problem solved, if legacy engineered kit is OP relative to what can be currently be created then perhaps the nerf hammer is due.
