Engineers Module Storage

Hey,
Can module storage limits please be revisited sometime soon. Now that the cap stringently works, unlike before were I enjoyed that it was bugged - the 120 module storage isn't based on anything, but seemingly how someone at FDEV feels about it - By way of example; for reference and all the forum fanbois there's a bit in this old out of date discussion where Sandro just outright dismisses the topic of increased module storage: "I'm not convinced."

While for some of us that are hoarders in real life, can't stop engineering and are constantly trying new fitouts on multiple ships - the 120 module cap feels like a pointless pain in the .....
I don't care if there's an extra in game credits cost to increase storage.
I don't care if it's a number multiplied by the number of ships.
I don't care if it's a number multiplied by the number of engineers unlocked.
There are a million useful & better ways for module storage to work than just 120 full stop that's it.

--- motivation for writing/posting is that I am about to buy a ship i'll never actually use - just to store modules in it......8/

Thanks,

There is an ingame module storage increase which costs money. Just buy an additional Anaconda :D

Seriously, we had that debate with the 60 storage and there were estimates how long it takes to ask for another raise.
If they raise it to 200, there will be demands to raise it to 400 soon. It never ends :D

I think we have to accept that this game is based on grinding, due to the general lack of content in the game. So to that end, not having enough module storage is another part of the grind.
We hate it, but we also have that mental "I must complete this" fallibility that makes us want to keep going. All you can do is stock up on G5 mats from the missions system so that when you need to switch modules at least you have a chance of being able to trade for the materials needed for your engineering needs. Personally I would like to see FDev implement some sort of daily material rewards that you get e.g. from a Power or even from a PMF that you pledge to, in a similar way to how I get daily rewards in other MMORPGs. Also crate drops would help. I spent most of yesterday engineering a new ship and the time spent actually playing the game versus watching the telly whilst my ship was doing hyoerjumps or waiting to be transferred between stations was minimal. This is not good gameplay and a real shame. Similar issue to not having enough module space if you have to spend hours playing but not playing just to get the module you want.

I have 3 AspX and 2 Dropships for storage. If I needed a ship for big class modules I would get a storage T10. What's the benefit of buying a conda for storage?

No benefit really, I use the FDS for storage too. The Conda only can store the bigger internals and a c7 optional.

Every time any limits on anything are raised in this game, someone always wants more. It's an endless loop.

Everytime anything blah blah blah - pretty useless and pointless commentary there.

I clearly suggested factoring something into the equation - so it wouldn't be a loop.
A dash of logic could go a long way - rather than the short distance of the current poorly thought-out limit.

- extra in game credits cost to increase storage (not buying ships).
X number increase by factor of the number of ships owned.
X number increased by a factor of the number of engineers unlocked.
X number increased by a factor of the number of legacy 2.4 engineered items (i.e free storage for old engineered modules!)
X number increased by a factor of your rank towards elite
X number increased by a factor of how many Yamiks or ObsidianAnt youtube videos you've watched.
X number increased by the number of stupid and dismissive comments you leave on a forum.

I only have about 60 modules stored - and a lot of them are easily-replaced stock modules I just haven't bothered to sell - and I already have trouble finding if I have a particular module stored, and if so, where it is.

Increasing past 120 I think would need to come with some sort of UI improvements for the storage.
