Just like last week and the week before and the week before that... we can see something very "soon".... so soon that they can't give us a date for the live stream. [where is it]

If the Frontier marketing department was smart they'd show us some concept art or a screenshot every week. Something to make us excited and to talk about.

the SOON™ will be coming SOON™

'SOON' would likely be no more than a month or so from FD. It's not like the soon of cig-backers waiting for Squadron42 for 4+ years..

they are a month late already, and Frontier might be taking some notes from CIG

We'll be revealing more details about Beyond - Chapter Four in the coming weeks and we can't wait to show you, but in the meantime, please post your feedback regarding Exploration in this thread and we'll try to respond to as many queries as we can.

The one thing that Frontier do very well is mishandle communications.

If they were smart they'd copy what paradox does. Wait till you are far enough along in deveolpment to have details to share and dole them out in weekly dev diaries, one detailed post per subject/aspect of the awaited update.

"That's all for changes to the discovery scanner, tune in next week when we will go over the new detailed surface scanner and the planetary probes feature!"

It keeps fans intrested, engaged and talking about the update. Fans wouldn't be feeling let down and anoyed right now, we'd all be egerly waiting for the next dev post... which they would already have planned and ready to go. I just don't understand why they keep making a rod for their own back like this.

Yep, Paradox does a great job of talking about development. So does SCS Studios. So do many dev studios. Frontier used to three years ago, but they changed policies for some odd reason, and it's hurt the communities morale in a very negative way.

Maybe we should waste another month on going on about unanounced open only powerplay which isn't even in Q4.

What happened to OOPP in the end? Any more feedback from Sandro?

I mean, it's a bit rich dropping that fart in the room and then running off hoping no-one would notice...

It won't be a thing for 3.3 according to Sandro. Maybe, possibly someday in the future. No ETA's no guarantees of course.

According to Zac it's been "prioritised", to everyone else that means bumped up the running order but in marketing speak it means dropped...

Hopefully a PP overhaul will be in the post 3.3 era.

Ignored again. It becomes clear its just better to ignore what Sandro says until simeone else shows it actually being a thing on a stream. Its not worth spending time on giving feedback on anything as its quite likely just a random thing in his mind, uconnected to any development plan.

Its a bit odd, the combination of 'we need to be silent until we are dead sure about something' with 'here is a random and highly controversial brainfart.' I'd rather have them be open about stuff they are actually working on. But that could just be me.
