What I'm wondering is if the phases of beta are cumulative, or if each phase is undone to concentrate on the new phase.
They said they are cumulative. Features introduced will stay.

3 of them on the right?
Babylon 5 shadows confirmed?![]()
Is this free for Lifetime Expansion Pass holders or will we have to pay again?
Betas are always free to LEP owners.
Just flies squatted onto the glass folks .... nothing to see there .... carry on LOL
So catch me up .... this final part of Beyond Ch.4 is a payed DLC ? (parts 1,2 & 3 were not right ?)
Just asked to be set straight. Thanks!
#Gnosiswasfun
All them people posting #rememberTheGnosis in Beta Announcement thread as if that means something is rather amusing.Forgive me, probably my judgment is obscured by some Thargoid interference: exactly "what" of that event did you find funny?
It is cumulative, was stated somewhere in this thread by fdev. What I'm wondering is if the phases of beta are cumulative, or if each phase is undone to concentrate on the new phase.

Bless them![]()
Forgive me, probably my judgment is obscured by some Thargoid interference: exactly "what" of that event did you find funny?
It simply means not taking for granted that the content that will be offered will be fun.
FDEV makes you see an exploding rock and so many people believe it will be fun. Everything to prove, especially when you blow up the 90th stone.
Not having been able to manage an event as important as the Gnosis, which involved 11,000 users, implies that FDEV will have to do more than show two frames to convince those who speak of #rememberTheGnosis to have understood the needing to invest more in terms of narration and consistency between the contents of the game.

those who speak of #rememberTheGnosis
- going there thrice with different ships
- flying CAP for Explorers
- getting ganked by SDC (no joke, that was fun)
- killing goids and helping Explorers again
- reading all the salt in the forums
Granted, I got lucky by skipping the bugged time by being at work, but after the bugs were hotfixed it was cool.
The announcement was bad, as I wrote elsewhere but fundamentally the interaction was cool and imho nearly as funny as with the first burning starports.
Well, to me it looks like a couple of guys with a Gnosis sized burr under their saddle needing to vent a little. It simply means not taking for granted that the content that will be offered will be fun.
I'm glad you guys learned your lesson, and if you need a hashtag to remind yourselves, go right ahead. Not having been able to manage an event as important as the Gnosis, which involved 11,000 users, implies that FDEV will have to do more than show two frames to convince those who speak of #rememberTheGnosis to have understood the needing to invest more in terms of narration and consistency between the contents of the game.
I humbly disagree, the billboard effect is especially off putting and distracting while playing Elite in VR, which many people do.Lightning looks like is based on billboards they use for sun flares and explosions. Volumetric lightning as explosion would take considerable resources to calculate, and would most likely remove lower end machines from ever running ED again.
In future, when lower tier specs will be removed we might get full blown PG lightning and explosions to tax our CPUs, but until then this will do.
Sounds like you have nothing about how actual even unfolded and here just to troll. Because I have heard lot of feedback which consider event successful. So you sound just like wanting to make a statement and stick it to the devs.
Therefore you confirm that the fun part of the event was the one "not" managed by FDEV, which limited themselves to boycotting the event giving a horrible following.
Once fixed the bugs, aside to give two shots to the scouts, all ended with a: "ok, now go back home". The gnosis? Well, it repairs itself and continues as if nothing had happened.
