General / Off-Topic Paul Allen is dead

It seems to me that the world is losing many creative minds in a very short period of time and its sense of humour.

Paul Allen, Steve Jobs, Robin Williams, Emma Chambers.

Thats four people in a time span of seven years...

For a man who dropped out of university he did extremely well in life.
Died a little too soon at 65.
RIP

He also made sure others did much better in life, the man had a great mind but also a great heart.

I believe that I read a long time ago, that there are about 2000 artists, politicians, scientists, philisophers, writers ect ... who die each year in the world.

Yes, they were examples not an exhaustive list. Sorry if the lack of extra full stops confused you

I suppose there must be that sort of number. I guess as you get older you notice it more as relevant people in your life pass away. David Bowie is more relevant to me than to a 15 year old, for example.

RIP Paul, and thanks for your part at revolutionizing the modern world.

Most of the people involved in the computer revolution of the late 70's, early 80's dropped out of university. Paul Allen, Bill Gates, Steve Wozniak, Steve Jobs, John Carmack and many others. Drive, passion and talent are more important than just attending classes.

Yes, quite for the vast majority of cases.

However some people go through several generations.
