Beyond Final Chapter: Where's The New Gameplay Aside From Planet Mapping?

From the livestream it seems the only new gameplay mechanic in the final chapter of Beyond is mapping a planet. And you can even do that with friends too yay! Sounds thrilling. The other new bits coming in this release seem to only change the way in which you play with existing mechanics mostly adding time and mouse clicks for the same end results. USS's could even be worse being described as on timers and disappearing which sounds more like a buggy race maybe - hard to say for sure until we see the beta.

So, anyone see any other real new gameplay items?

I always love it when Kubi comes back to complain some more. Anyway, no. The only new gameplay they showed in the explo reveal was the new explo gameplay. For the other, non-explo, gameplay, wait for the non-explo streams. You wont like it anyway, so save your time and just complain about the new mining gameplay, BGS scenarios, ships etc right now. Get it all out of your system in one nice post. :)

"Ugh, its just blowing up rocks, it ends in the same thing: stuff etc. And the new scenarios are just dressed-up versions of the same stuff. You still need to fly that stupid spaceship. And who cares about new spaceships, we already have plenty."

As far as we know there are new BGS gameplay changes, including new mechanics with unfolding scenarios. And then there's new mining. And Squadrons. That's at least three subjects yet to be covered.

I thought this was still Horizons? and we are expecting the final big update to that.
Beyond being the next Chapter.

Regarding exploration it seems that is it, but there's still more stuff to come in the next weeks. Mining, squadrons, scenarios, etc.

if certain players get their way there will be hours of scrounging for materials to synthesize probes for scanning.

Well we have to give that mining update some use, don't we?

passenger missions will inexplicably still pay 200x more than any other activity in the game

I would recommend you don't watch the live streams, read the forums or Reddit OP.

Just uninstall and go and play something else, this game will never please you.

What we've seen so far isn't about new features as much as joining the dots on existing ones.

We now have the means to get from rumour in the Codex to discovery on a planet surface without needing to leave the game or refer to external knowledge.
That transforms the game entirely from an exploration perspective.
