Wow, so one thing I learned today. You guys have no idea how polling and mathematics works. How the votes of 10,000 people can be 99% accurate. Interesting.
For a population of 2.4 million and the poll sample be 9800 people, it is 99% accurate with a margin of error of 1.3%. Go ahead, spin it however you like, say that there's people with 10 accounts. That it's Star Citizen fans on OA's page trying to troll Elite. Say whatever you like. Go ahead and lie to yourself. I don't care.

A 10,000 people poll sure can be pretty accurate, if you are polling a representative group. You can´t prove that your group is representative. Hence your poll can´t be taken as representative which makes it a waste of time.
Read through some of the comments on that poll and ask yourself if they don't sound representative.
There's also no minority given the poll Stigbob is referring to was not polling infinite vs non-infinite, which are the options being discussed.
Promises, promises... don’t you know this is The Dead Horse Society? We'll have new things to fight about after the next stream.![]()
10% in favor of finite probes, couldn't be clearer.
I just ran a poll with my favourite teddy bear and 12 of his best friends. 100% are opposing infinite probes. Couldn´t be clearer. I´ve talked with them and asked myself if they don´t sound representative. So according to your and akaliel´s standards, my poll is perfectly able to depict the opinion of everbody else.Read through some of the comments on that poll and ask yourself if they don't sound representative.

That´s as subjective as things can get. The result could -accidently- perfectly correct or way of. There is no way of knowing which makes it useless, even if you don´t like it. That´s how things are.
I'm guessing GAH BGS SOLO CHEETZORS.
And infinite probes remaining as another comedy background grumble forever.
So... you are asking a group that you cannot prove to be representative for their opinion on a forum and on a poll and the results are matching since your are asking pretty much the same people. This doesn´t prove anything. It´s about as relevant as my teddy bear poll.Yes, but you have 10x the people explaining their subjective reason for not wanting finite probes.

You DO notice that your methodology is flawed, don´t you?
OI! Alanis!!!<sigh> There's no helping some people.
Pretty much. Frontier didn't budge on telepresence, and those guys quieted down, I'm expecting the same to happen here.
